Default Back in action 1-2-3!!!

Hey girls and gents,

I have not posted in 3FC for a month. The adjustment back to Cyprus was long but not entirely bad. I went for swimming, finished some unfinished work and got myself a part-time job as an English teacher. My life has gone through a new perspective.

I did gain weight (5 lbs) but it is weird this time. I don't know... It was like I had people taking me out for dinners and stuff because they had not seen me in a year and I just knew I was going to gain weight because of the every night outings. I didn't beat myself up for the gaining, I just accepted it. The month have passed and now I have returned to back to my normal way of eating (you know the healthy one!), got myself a gym-subscription and I am getting back in action. My first goal is still to reach 90 kg by December 2009.

My gym instructor gets to personally train me twice a week and the rest of the week I am on my own. Tommorow is my first day of personal training. He sounds very enthusiastic and he says he believes I will reach 90 kg much sooner than I think, but still says that 2 kg a month will still be excellent.

I am scared though.... I feel he is way too enthusiastic. I don't want to get disheartened in the end. Don't get me wrong I am very excited and happy to return back to exercising after sitting on my butt for a month but I am also a bit scared. Is it normal?

I think it's normal to be scared. I know that I always have a fear of failure(because I've failed so many times before), but this time I know that I can stick with it because of the support I am getting (here at 3fc). One thing to remember is that goals are not written in concrete. You can adjust them anytime. If things don't go as your instructor plans, have a talk with him and adjust things Best wishes! Keep posting! And, enjoy your new job!

Hey preetylady!

It's normal to be a little anxious about a new trainer. Just be sure that you know your own limits and don't let him push you too hard. It's your body, not his.

Good luck! It sounds like you're back in the groove!
