Clothing, I think, is something that will always be difficult for me. I bought a shirt yesterday, size L without trying it on. I figured it'd fit 'sometime' if it didn't fit now but I didn't think it'd fit now anyway. It looked too tiny.
I put it on last night and it fit perfectly.
Five years ago I lost 40 pounds and got down to my all time lowest weight of 215lbs... (as an adult).
EVERYONE noticed--- I mean, I went from a size 18/20 down to an small size 14 (in the regular section of Target)... Yet I never really saw it. I KNEW I was smaller... but it never hit.
Unfortunately, by the time my brain caught up to what my body knew, my body had decided to start gaining weight!!!
I'm hoping this time I will be able to stay thin long enough to notice and APPRECIATE it!!!
No one notices, including me. My clothes are looser, but I am not wearing a smaller size even after 38lbs lost.
One of my close friends keeps hinting to me about going to Weight Watchers. She hasn't noticed that I lost weight - just that I need to loose weight. Maybe the principle that Amanda describes is at work with my friend.
