Default I think I'm going to

update my ticker after I see the same weight 2 days in a row. I don't count it until I do but I still only update my ticker on Sundays. So, if I do it whenever I see a lower number (for 2 days) then I won't want it to go back up even more. KWIM?

Like, I was 188 a couple weeks ago until weigh in day when I was 190. I was super mad but worked at getting it back down there. I think if I see 188 on my ticker and then weigh in at 190 I'll work THAT much harder to get it back down there.

I might just be being silly but I think it might work.

I'm STUCK at 185.5 but as soon as I get that 2 days at 185 I'll get to add another 5 pound heart to my siggy. Just that makes me super motivated. I know....being silly again.

Is that what you do or do you wait for your weigh in day to change your ticker?

Hey ItsAboutTime,

I weigh every day. I usually only record changes--but if it's been many days with no change, I do record it just so my graph stays accurate-looking.

But once a week is just as good! For a long time I didn't have a scale at home so I could only weigh when I went to the gym.

Lots of folks would say that weighing less often is better--because otherwise the scale can drive you nuts.

I don't have a scale, it would drive me crazy and I would be on it all the time. I can completely understand your frustration, ItsAboutTime - what you're saying make total sense to me!

I weigh every day, and it doesn't drive me crazy, I look forward to it. I know what you mean about the ticker thing. I had mine at 194, then went on holiday and my weight went up, I was almost more mad that I had to see my ticker change than the number on my scale! lol

I weigh every day...sometimes twice. I am obsessed. I hate seeing the fluctuations, but I love it. Does that make sense? No, I know it doesn't. But that's just how it is. Seeing a smaller number makes me happy and work harder. Seeing a bigger number makes me mad and makes me work harder. Either way. But I designated my weigh-in day as wednesday, and that is the only day I will change my ticker. Although in cases such as today, when it is up 2 lbs from 3 days ago, I wish I didn't, lol.

WinterStarzz, sounds like you went off your program there... Just get right back on your plan, and those couple of pounds should drop away.
