Default Plateaus at the same numbers

Just curious: do any of you find that you hit the same plateau where your body just seems to “like” to be? Each time I have worked on weight loss I keep finding that my body seems to like to stall at the same groupings of numbers. Why is that? And if I look back at my records I can see where I’ve held at those numbers before sometimes finally being successful and breaking through. Sadly I can’t recall what I did to get those numbers moving down and leave them behind -but since I’m back you see how well that worked!

Any suggestions or is just being patient is best? I’m sure this has been asked and answered many a time but it’s early in the day and foremost in my thoughts and I’m short on time to search this morning. TIA!

I have been stalled at the same numbers since March and these past 3 weeks have shown a steady increase. I had tried upping my calories, upping my carbs, lowering my calories, upping my protein. The list is long. I will keep checking in here and hope someone with wisdom or more suggestions posts

Hi there, what you describe is SO TRUE! I have no idea why it is so, but my body totally seems to like certain numbers and stay at them as long as humanly possible. I have hit one of these numbers now and I know another one is awaiting 20 pounds down the road. Funny, isn't it? In fact, it makes no sense and I have been trying to deny it, but now I see I'm not the only one, and that feels good.

Having said that, I have no idea how to break a plateua. Myself I'm going to get back to fasting to see if it gets things going.

I’ve been getting to 158.8 then eating a lot and getting to around 163 in water weight and then a couple days of eating less and being back at 158.8.

I have been working hard 4 out of 5 days, so I’m hoping I’m back to 158.8 or possibly lower.
