July's Goals.....

Wow, a whole month gone already. Where is the time going??? lol. Well, i thought i'd see if any of you want to set some goals for July?? I have three goals for July.....

1) Do 200 ab excersizes a day every day.
2) Go to the gym as much as possible
3) Lose hopefully at least 6 more pounds for the month of July.

What goals do you hope to achieve by the end of July????

LisaMarie71 07-02-2007 08:47 AM

July's a big month for me because I'm coming up on my one-year anniversary of this new lifestyle. I started this on July 18 of last year. I hit some big milestones last month, but here are the goals for this month:

1 - Run at least 110 miles total.
2 - Get to 168 pounds, which will put me in the "normal" category for my BMI.

Even though I think those charts are sometimes meaningless, it will be nice to plug in the numbers and have a "normal" BMI when I started out as "morbidly obese!"

I think I'll join in. I've been really naughty the last few weeks which explains why my weight loss has gone down. I usually try for the lower end of healthy calorie intake but recently i've been going a bit overboard with picking and eating things - I mean I'm still eating less to lose at least a 1/2lb or a pound a week but its still not 2lb a week and its my fault. SO MY GOALS ARE...

1. STOP PICKING and everytime I want to I will repeat the phrase "little pickers where big knickers"
2. Try to walk do at least 10 minutes of exercise a day.
3. Lose 6 pound by the end of July. My wedding is on the 3rd... so I would love to be 180 for that.

I love that saying Seranab!!! "little pickers wear big knickers!!!" Too funny!!! Well, i know you can reach your July goal!! You can do it!!!

seranab 07-02-2007 09:28 AM

Well I hope so - I can feel motivation and determination really running dry. I'm just getting bored of HAVING to watch what I eat and the scary thing is is that I know that I will ALWAYS have to watch what I eat probably for the rest of my life. lol It kinds sucks.

Hey Ladies -

This is just the kind of thing I need to re-solidify my commitment to get back to goal. Here are my goals for July:

1) Lose four pounds
2) Work out 5-6 times a week
3) Add the gym back into my workout routine at least twice a week

It looks like everyone is setting some healthy and attainable goals. We can do it!

Lynsey's July Goals
*get into or past the 180s 12-15 pounds would be excellent
*keep drinking at least 100oz. of water
*keep up with the Couch-to-5K plan and do WATP video whenever not outside exercising
*keep putting foods into daily plate and stick to number of calories allowed
*lower sodium intake

I also added at least 45 minutes of exercise at least 4 days a week.

I want to lose 8 pounds, which will put me out of the overweight bracket and into the "healthy weight" category! :D I think I miiiiiight be able to do it. The original goal was to hit 155 by my birthday, but since I lost more weight this month than anticipated, I have new goals: now, I'd LIKE to TOTALLY WAVE GOODBYE to the 150's by my birthday (later end of August), instead!

I'm doing carb detox for 2 weeks, starting today. So, the goal there is to just stick with it.

I'm trying to drink 12 glasses of water a day... but if I can't seem to get 12 in, I always get at least 8.

cagesorwings 07-02-2007 12:16 PM

My major goal is to get to 164, which would make have a "healthy weight" BMI! That means 10 lbs as of today :)
I'd also like to be more careful with nibbles throughout the day, record everything I eat on dailyplate, etc....
and amp up my strength training routine
and do 1400 minutes of cardio this month
AND be more active in my daily life

Looks like a lot of us have this healthy BMI goal this month. We can do it ladies!

LisaMarie71 07-02-2007 12:22 PM

Sounds like a bunch of us are trying to get to that "healthy" BMI weight this month! Let's do it together! :cheer2:

Tomorrow's my weigh-in day, so I might make another ticker from that weight to 168, my "healthy" weight. My goal is 165 but I REALLY think I need to drop that to 155 or maybe even 150. I have lots of fat on my body still.

Leygh 07-02-2007 01:50 PM

Hey guys!

My goal for the summer is 15lbs. Soo..I would like to lose 6lbs before August.

1) 6lbs by the end of July.
2) Gym 4xs a week.
3) 100+ Ab exercises in the morning. 100+ at night.

horsey 07-02-2007 01:53 PM

I'm 5'9 too, I felt good at 155 before but I too wanted to get down to 150 or 145 in the end but with muscle too, so I'm weight training.

Goals for July:
1. Keep calories at 1400 or so each day.
2. Cut back on carbs and fat, do a semi South Beach diet but with some fruits - who can skip those in the summer?
3. Exercise in some way 1 hour a day other then maybe one rest day - walking, biking, exercise videos, etc.
4. Do weight 20 min or so every other day, stick with plan but increase weights on lower body and inscreases reps on upper. Try new Gari dvd
5. Lose 3-4 pounds in July, more if possible

horsey 07-02-2007 01:55 PM

6. I forgot abs, at least 10 min ab work every other day, hate it or not. Rotate various abs dvds.

mariposita 07-02-2007 02:47 PM

This is great. I want to set some goals so I can kick myself in the butt.
During July I'm going to:

1) lose 4 pounds
2) be consistent with my weight-training workouts--3 days/week--instead of just thinking about doing it:o!
3) 9 servings of veggies/fruits a day!!! I'm finally up to that and I feel so good, I'm determined to continue.

abbyin 07-02-2007 03:03 PM

My July plan is pretty close to yours, Ann.

- Lose 4 lbs.
- Exercise 30 min. a day, at least 3 times a week (not a big exerciser)
- And stay within my calorie range for the day (every day)
