Hmm this a nice thread!
1. My eyes (i'm sure you can tell I love my eyes by my photo... and before anyone asks... yes that is me... AND I took it myself because I'm an amateur fashion/portrait photographer)
2. My waist - it has a nice curve
3. My sense of humour
4. My hair
5. My eyebrows... I guess.

ugh, this is tough. I'm another one hwo could list dozens of things I dislike about myself. (Was going to say 'hate' but I am trying hard to be more positive or at least less negative.) :(

physical things are really hard to pick out b/c I was made to feel ugly for years and years when I was young. I feel awkward and ill-at-ease in my body no matter what size it is.

o.k. (gulp) here goes:

My eyebrows (don't need plucking to look civilized)
My eyes (I like the colour and shape)
My shoulders (don't look too fat)

um, I think that's it

non-physical things are a wee bit easier:
  1. I'm friendly.
  2. I'm loyal.
  3. I can keep a secret.
  4. I'm not mean - if I don't like someone I will just go away rather than be a [b-word]. Unless they ask me the Dreaded Pregnancy Question, of course.
  5. I'm smart.
  6. Ican string words together.

oops, I cheated! :p that was more than five :carrot:

Yay for cheating :carrot: This is the right place for it ;)

Oh my gosh... this is such a wonderful, beautiful thread!

And I am going to have to spend some serious 'me' time trying to figure out why I can't come up with even... one. :(

Thank you, seriously, for making me think.

Ah... you mean I have to think? :dizzy:

Things I like about myself RIGHT NOW!!!
1. Intelligence :book2:
2. Good listener :listen:
3. Good cook :hun:
4. I'm just a nice human being :goodvibes:
5. Creativity :wizard:

I've always told myself that I will be worthy "when ..."
Thanks for reminding me of the real measure of a woman (or man).
:chin:

What I like about me -

1. I'm a good wife, mother and friend
2. I love my hair
3. I love my hands
4. I am smart
5. I am resilient

- My hands/wrists. They're actually pretty lean and nice to look at.
- My shoulders and shoulderblades.
- The way muscles roll under my skin in my forearms. (Yes, I'm that shallow.)
- My ears.
- Boobies! Smooth and big. They're not the most perfect thing in the world, and I need to wear a bra no matter what, but that's something I'm never ashamed to show off. :D

I could probably add more regarding non-physical stuff, but I wanted to try to list physical bits only, because it's probably what would be the most problematic bunch of stuff to list. (Not that I hate/despise the rest of my body. It's just... there. Neither totally ugly nor beautiful to look at, I suppose. But then, it's been more than two years since I've been at my highest weight, and back then, I remember I wasn't able to look at it in a positive perspective.)

oh catnhorses....i am sure you are very beautiful and how awful that you never felt that way as a child. My middle daughter who is 7, she is a little on the chuncky side...not fat, but a little chunky. Her grandma on her daddy's side tells her she needs to go on a diet. OOOOOOhhhhhh.....that makes me so mad. Every time my daughter says anything, i am soooo quick to tell her how beautiful she is....not just on the inside, but on the outside too. I do plan to talk to her pediatrician before school comes back in and find out how many calories my darling should be eating in a day and i'm going to set up an account for her on fitday and log in the foods i am going to be feeding her and see if i can help her not to be gaining anymore weight. i don't want her to grow up overweight and start her period at the tender age of 9 or 10. But that is a little off the subject of what i was really going to say. actually, you reminded me of another physical feature that i do like about myself.

My eyebrows. I am always soooo happy that i don't have to pluck them!! I just don't think that is something i could ever do to myself. I like the shape, the size and the fullness of them. Actually they are not real full so i like that too. And they are a nice color. NOt too light and not too dark.

Wisher...i wish i could like my shoulders. There's nothing wrong with them...i just think i have too much fat on my upper body that they look wide. I can't wait to lose a few more inches up top and then i will feel much better about my shoulders.

I do like my forearms. I think they are a very nice, small size....unlike my upperarms which are fat and flabby. I have small wrist too.

Kery...babe....whatever you like about your body and makes you feel good about it is not shallow. If you liked the shape and size of your toes...that's okay, because it makes you feel good about yourself. So there is nothing wrong with the way your muscles roll on your forearms. :-)

rubberlegs...there must be at least one thing you like about your physical self. The color of your hair, the shape of your eyes.....something.

Come on HeatherAngel...you have at least 5 good physical things about you. There is something beautiful about everyone....You can do it!!
