  • There is no one formula that works for every person. I got my goal from what my doctor suggested a couple of years ago.
  • i think it depends. everyone's body is different. a certain weight can look different on people who are the same size. however, that equation is right for me since i have a very small bone structure. it would put me at 110 lbs. when i was 110, i wasn't too thin, i was fit and athletic looking.
  • Thanks everyone. That was a big help. Beach Patrol, I have a picture like yours after my first child 36 yr. ago but after 10 kids my belly is.........well....I wonder if it will ever be the same ha!
  • I was told by a trainer to pick a weight that I have been in my adult life that I liked. Add a little bit for increasing age.
  • I'm same as lumifan. I should be 130 lbs, which I think is good...I've never been 130 lbs my adult life. I've been 5'5" since about high school and I was 145 my first year of college. I looked average but definitely could lose a couple more lbs, so I think maybe 135 would be a suitable goal for me. I'm just trying to take it step by step here. First get to 160, then 155, then 150 and by then I'll probably pass out from happiness. Haha.
  • The formula works pretty well for me, too. My lowest adult weight was 130, and I looked pretty good! But I also had a tad more fat around the waist I would have liked to have lost. I figured 120-125 would have been perfect. Hopefully will be down there again soon, and can find out!
