  • HotDoc, your methods are unorthodox to say the least! Ho-ho's? I'd never eat one of those things, food plan or no! But to each chick her own.

Cheese with tortillas? Well, might work--as long as one measures out the portions properly. Cheese has 100 cals per ounce. Eleven (11) Dorito chips, Nacho Cheese flavor, have 140 cals. Gosh--that could be lunch!

So it's not that one can't have those foods--or any foods!--as long as one keeps track. I try to avoid foods that will trigger overeating, like those evil Doritos! But again, to each her own.

  • when i was "smaller" and i used to stick to ww as if it were life or death and eat my 12 or 1300 caliries a day of fruit and salad and lowfat dairy and lean protien, and whole grains, and exercised three days a week.....and the scale just wouldn't buge it wasn';t cutting out more calories or exercising more that would do it. it was always adding more. even if i would use regualr instead of ff dressing for a week. or eat some real ice cream in the mix, or go out and have an omlet and some french fries at a diner one night, it would always work. not forever. just for a few weeks. and not alot. just a few things here and their. when you start to approach goal it's always the hardest to get it off, sometimes you have to get creative. on the contrary, when i was eating fairly healthy with some not that healthey snacks but staying within my points range, it was cutting out refined food for a few weeks that would do it. point being, when you hit plateus, you need to do something different for a little while, for some people it can be eating 2000 calories a day to tune up your metabolism a bit, or changing what you eat or when you eat it. your body is a great adapter, sometimes it needs to be fooled.
