  • Quote: Ohhhhhhh! THIN MINTS!!!!! Those suckers were responsible for my weight loss STALL back in 2003! I had lost 25 lbs. and felt pretty darn good about myself. Then came the THIN MINT cookies! I KNOW that they package them in cellophane that purposely tears easily. That way, you keep eating them until you reach a place where the cellophane is long enough to be twisted until the NEXT snack attack happens! Before you know it, you have eaten half the package! Oh heck! Why not just FINISH THE WHOLE package?!!! I can be MUCH neater that way and the family may not realize how many I have actually eaten! (You all KNOW what I mean, right?!!)
It's called doing a line of Thin Mints and I absolutely believe they're packaged that way on purpose!!

    Too cute!
  • EZMONEY -- I'm the same way. My son's football team sold car washes and oil changes (who can sell those??). We gave a check to the football team instead, skipping the middle man!! I'd rather just hand my kid $200 at the beginning of the year for school, sports, etc. than have to hit up everyone all year for this stuff. Besides, I work at home so I have few to sell too and when my husband brings the sheets to work, so do 50 other people for their kids. It's a vicious cycle!!
  • Last weekend when I was at the Tour de Palm Springs, I was walking down the Expo to meet up with DD who was playing in the band for the riders.....I passed by a booth from a school that was selling something and trying to raise money to send their team to the World Finals of Odyssey of the Mind. I don't even remember what they were selling. I gave them $20 and told them good luck (DD went to World Finals when she was in 5th grade--what a great experience that was). OM is an incredible group for anyone who has ever participated.
  • I gave in and bought cookies today. But I did not buy them for me. I bought one box of shortbread and I plan on putting them with my Dads birthday gift and mailing them to him. That way I'm not tempted to eat them and I know he will enjoy them.
  • I bought 3 boxes from a grandma at my work. I was talking with my coworkers Friday about how I HAD to start a diet and the cookies couldn't have come at a worse time. Funny you mentioned this.
  • So now I am thinking...where are the dang cookies that I ordered hmmmmmmmm?
