Default Eat to Live Again: Week 2

Hello Everyone! I hope all had a more successful first week than I did. I didn't eat E2L or healthy at all for some meals. I did about 45 minutes towards my weekly exercise goal of 120 minutes. But today I start again with a clean slate! Back to my beginning weight of 150 which was not a pleasant discovery this morning. 7 weeks to lose 25 pounds! Yikes!

It's been really hard for me to do ETL when I'm not cooking for myself. So, I think this week that I am going to do just that...cook for myself! No going out to eat this week (I'm sure my diet AND wallet will thank me for it).
In other news, I've lost another 3 lbs! I couldn't believe it when I weighed myself at the gym today, since I didn't stick to ETL much over the weekend. It made me very happy and motivated to do more.
I worked out today for 90 minutes and I am feeling a tad hungry.
weee! I've lost weight!

I've decided to focus my cooking efforts on my vegetable dishes and just add grilled chicken or fish for the carnivores in my house

an interesting thing happened today I'm a little low on groceries so I had instant oatmeal and two veggy lincks for breakfast this use to be one of my favorite breakfasts but this morning it was to sweet and too salty so strange I felt icky.

Breakfast instant oatmeal with 2 veggy links
lunch cucumber, soy cheese, cucumber sandwich
dinner celery with hummus and some with tofu spread and some water mellon.
I also have some berry tofu desert maybe but I'm not sure.

have a wonderful day

G- good luck on your TOPS talk! That's tomorrow, isn't it?

Me, I'm still naughty. Oppositional defiant as a child continues into my 40s!

Is anyone other than me having between meal snacks?

I am having between meal snacks and yes my talk is tomorow so think good thought for me. I totally understand how you are feeling eating this way has brought up alot of stuff that I didn't realise bothered me. For example my inlaws went raw for a while and kind of made my husband and I do the same and now I feel resentful of it. It wasn't my choice but now it is and I hafe to do it my way with what works for me within the realm of the program. sorry if I'm going on and on .

hey folks -- yeah, I really haven't had a chance to be online, but now I think I'll be able to check in more often.

Been eating more grains than usual lately, and not enough veggies... so I'm getting back on board with that.

I think the last five pounds I lost was because life just got ahead of me and I'd forget to eat or not have time to eat. Not quite the weight-loss plan I had in mind... :P

Sending good vibes your way, G.

So glad you're planning to check in more often, Junia. You have been missed. Especially since you were the catalyst that began us on these threads! As my posts (& weight) reveal, I am not sticking with the plan. However, it is helping me to stay reminded of my plans by checking in here. At the very least, I feel guilty. Hopefully that guilt will get me going in the direction I want to go.

Thank you ladies for keeping this going!

wel I was down 2 pounds this week and my prestentation went well. people were suprised at the amount of calories were in things I think maybe they don't really pay atention to that. I'm not sure I thought what I did went well. This one lady said she could never lose weight eating that much well everyone is different and ETL is not for everyone. Since January I have lost 15 pounds being a vegitarian it has just taken some getting use to. And finding the right program.
thanks for the posative thoughts

Well, I'm off to have a veggie pita... I have some whole-grain pitas I'll use up, but won't buy any more after they're gone (had them for a houseguest, and I don't want to waste them!).

I also have some chocolate soymilk... yum... that I'll finish up, too, lol.

oooh. i've been naughty. i ordered takeout last night. It was tofu and broccoli, but probably not so healthy because of sauces and preparation. i didn't get to work out today because i've had class and work all day, so i feel very bloated and not at all my usual feeling-motivated self. Boo. i couldnt even record anything on my fitday. Boo.
I'll do better tomorrow, i guess.

Congrats on the presentation G! Well done
When will I learn.... Uh, I ate so much peanut butter yesterday it was shocking. So just salads for me today. I think I'm going walking now, as I have a feeling that peanut butter is making itself cosy on my thighs.

I must stop buying hummus! I love it too much! Especially the kind with roasted garlic. I try not to eat it with my favorite Triscuits so I've found that Granny Smith apple slices dunked in hummus is yummy. Then when I'm out of apples, I use my finger to scrape up every last bit. So naughty!
