Chapters has a good selection of cookbooks for different lifestyles including vegetarian - check out their discount section too- they sometimes have different cookbooks under $20.00.

Check out your local library for books on the subject and their is a book thread on the veggie forum with recommended reads
Magazines I enjoy:

Vegetarian times
Veggie Life
Organic Style
Natural Health

Here are a few sites that might be useful to you:

www.thesavvyvegetarian.net, www.vrg.org, www.vegetariantimes.com and
vegetarian.about.com

www.vegparadise....I got this one from a 3FC member named VOW- she writes a colum called"Using your bean" for this on-line zine. It's free and has a lot of good articles and information.

http://www.vegsoc.org/

The UK Vegetarian Society has loads of archived recipes. You just have to work out the measurements from UK to USA. Plenty of ideas there.

While I would be happy to recommend some of my fave books, I am well aware that a lot of the older books were "Cheese heavy", plus I am English and sometimes terminology and measurements can be a pain either side of the pond.

Most of the web sites are American apart from the UK Vegetarian society one I already mentioned.
