Old Lifestyle

  • I had a taste of my old lifestyle yesterday. I had a hangover. After celebrating the end of the semester with my boyfriend and a bottle of organic wine on Tuesday, I woke up on Wednesday feeling hungover (for the first time in 6 months). My whole day was ruined - my whole day of normal eating habits and jogging - gone. I could not stomach my usual, wonderful, morning fruit smoothie.... I had to have something with carbs and fat. For lunch, no way was I eating a piece of fruit or small salad! I had to have more carbs, salt, and fat. For dinner? I dug into some pizza (w/ cheese, which I regret). Then I skipped jogging.

    I felt so crappy, so down, with no motivation the whole day.

    Today is a new day - I'm going to make my fruit smoothie and start over. It really amazes me how much alcohol (too much) can negatively impact my body. I've been eating so clean (vegan, whole foods) and staying away from alcohol..... then everything comes crashing down after one night. What is interesting is how depressed I felt the whole day. I learned my lesson - in the future, if i drink alcohol, it will be no more than two glasses!
