Default Being Vegan: Protein.

Maybe its just my food choices (scratch that I know it must be!) but I'm having a hard time getting in all the protein one is suposed to get according to dietary standards. Any advice or foods I might not have considered? (Also, I avoid soy due to sensitivities to it).

you're calculating at 0.36 grams for every pound you weigh? Look into Seitan-- see if you can eat tempeh too. Those both have more protien than tofu. Try TVP. A cup of lentils has more protien than 4 oz of tofu. Basically, as a vegan you need to eat hearty meals 3 times a day for the protien-- you can get it with beans and rice. Quinoa (a type of small seed) and seaweed and blue green alge (spirulina) have quite high protien-- almost at "meat" standards.
