I've never thought of tempeh in chili but I searched on google and found this one that looks pretty good:

Well, on one hand that recipe has a gazillion ingredients. On the other, I worked out this morning and have an hour to kill while the hubby is at the doctors. I'll let you know how it turns out

Thanks!

If I was making it, I'd skip the beer and maple syrup but that is just me. Also, the ingredients seem pretty simple.

I never would have thought of tempeh chili either, but it does sound good! I usually make bbq tempeh, or grilled or crumbled in stir fry. I bet that recipe would even work in a crock pot. I am always looking for more things to make in my crock pot, I'm a lazy cook.

It was great. I didn't add the maple syrup. Took a bit of time to make, but it was really good.
