Default Now I have some questions about the food

If you have a recipe that calls for cooked beans of some sort and it doesn't state canned, just cooked, do you substitute canned instead?

Canned beans and tomatoes are just about the only canned things I'll eat. Any other veggies are either frozen or fresh.

Since I'm going to be incorporating more of this into my eating plan, I may be in here asking what you perceive to be really stupid questions.

Oh, one more thing. Some of you ladies mentioned that you were a vegetarian, started eating meat again and ran into some problems. May I ask what they were?

Also, some of you were meat eaters and went vegetarian. Did you drastically increase your fiber all at once? I'm finding that I have to "sneak up" on fiber. I got almost 50 gms one day and thought I was going to explode! 35 or so a day right now is tolerable for me. Did you have any problems like that?

Hi mare,
It's been so long that I don't remember about the fibre. I would say that you should go with what works for you, and work up to whatever percentage of fiber you want in your daily intake.

How much do you average?

I hate having these wall shaking thunderous performances.

I honestly have no idea. I've never really measured. I briefly used Fitday, but after awhile, I could never seem to find the time to record my food.
I hope that someone else can be more enlightening!
