Hi - I already have a goal which almost coincides with Halloween - it's my birthday on 28th October so my goal is to be 152 or less, which would take me below 11 stone. I shall be going out that night (28th) so I guess my goal will be to still be 152 or less by Halloween after drinking myself silly!!
Then it'll be the countdown to Christmas and my ultimate goal!!! |
Pffft I weighed in at WW for the first time ever and I was a pound up from the Boots scales the day before. :p Stupid scales all being different. :dizzy:

Hi Gals!! WELL DONE on all of your weight losses. Havent been able to log on for a few days now, wot with moviing upto leeds, settling in etc. Neways only weighed myself yeaterday and am down to 211.6 pounda!! So 5 outta 14 is gone!YAY!!

I'm getting aggrevated...still 161, yesterday I went to step then lifted for an hour, then took a long walk. My eating was off a bit because I had a friend in town.
I'm off for a 50 mile bike ride right now.....I will get out of the 160's soon!!!! How is everyone else doing, it's a weird day in Boston humid and hot, not real Autumn weather yet, I'm ready for it to change, it's too sticky out. |
Hi everyone mind if I join as well? I need something to give me a kick start. I've been doing slimming world since April and for the last month my scales have been going the wrong way. my goal is to lose 7lb by Halloween.:yes:

I think I'll have to re-set my goal, I'm stunned to have lost 10lbs. Most of that will be water due to my just starting up again after a lapse and TOM but still. I'm aiming for 1 1/2 stone now so 11lbs to lose by Halloween.

I have to re-set my goal also as I have reached nine stone 10lbs. In just over a week I lost four pounds I don't know how and maybe some will go on again. So I am going to revise it to nine stone 8lbs. Blimey I never thought I would get this far. It feels so good.

I am jealous. I have been exercising a lot and have to buy new trousers as mine have turned into low slung hispters but I'm still 165. 3 or 4lbs before Barcelona would be lovely. I did get a little NSV yesterday. I was the highest attender at Cannons in Warwick last month. 33 visits (due to splitting my training between lunch and after work) So 100% for effort, D- for results |
Yay - I'm down to 155!! Had a big meal out on Sunday night (with a pudding!) and was up two pounds on Monday morning - but they've gone and taken some buddies with them!
I am SO going to hit this target! :) |

I can not get out of the 160's. I have been holding at 160 for about a week, it's pissing me off but I guess I need to cut some calories somewhere.
Problem is it's the weekend...birthday party tomorrow night, Red Sox game Sunday, not always the best recipe for success but we'll see :) |

Well...I ate like a pig tonight and had a bunch of vodkas.....oh well tomorrow is another day.
Tonight I had pasta and birthday cake....I'm afraid of the scale tomorrow. |
Oh well Redsoxgirl, a you say tomorrow is another day, I find alcohol doesn't cause a big scale jump but does slow my loss over the next week or so, pasta and cake might do it though. Being aware of what you eat is half the game though so just keep your eye on the ball and make sensible decisions this week. :)
I'm 3lbs down this week making 13lbs total this challenge and 8lbs away from challenge target, should be manageable with focus. |
Been away and busy with work, but so far I've lost 3lb out of the 7 I set myself for Halloween!

Hmm I've only lost 3 pounds since I signed up for this challenge, going to stick with it though, most of it is due to the holiday I had in Majorca, great time, but I ate badly and got out of the habit of exercising, I need some motivation right now. Back into the exercising and counting calories but I'm feeling frustrated, I'll get there though.

OK..I think I need to take drastic measures and stop drinking for a while. I really don't drink all that much, maybe once a week, but tonight a bunch of old friends were going out. So long story short, I joined them, had a bunch of margaritas and greasy appetizers.
I'm still holding at 160 but I just need to stop blowing it every weekend (or the random Tuesday like tonight :). I end up spending the week trying to get back to where I was. This weekend I need to be good, Monday is a holiday for us and I'm running a 10k, hopefully I can get myself back on track. I should be able to lose 5 lbs by the end of October...if I can't thats really a bit pathetic. |

Thanks Veggie, I like them in the evening too, I don't like them too much right now. I'm on my first brake from teaching 9th and 10th graders for 3 hours with a sore head. :mad: :mad:
Oh well I'm feeling better, and I'm going to go back to going out for drinks only once a week. It's not so much the drinking but what I decide is ok to eat once I've had a few. Honestly I'm single and I like to get out of the house and meet up with friends....combining that with dieting and exercise if so hard.....who else struggles with this? |
I have the same problem too! Especially now that it's football season and it's hard to get a tailgate together w/ acceptable diet food and then a night out on top of that and I am back to square one! The only thing I've found to help is to stick to vodka and water w/ LOTS of lime or vodka and club soda w/ lime and bc those drinks are so strong to spread them out w/ more water or diet coke. To cut back on the food thing on nights when I'm going out I move all my money out of my checking account so I can't access it w/o going over and getting that nasty surcharge. It also helps me stay on budget.

Good morning everyone.
I'm officially grounding myself. Miraculously I have kept my weight about 160 but when I take a look at the calendar, I've been eating way too much. I have had so much going on, I think I was out 4 nights last week. I will go out with good intentions and then fall into the crowd and start enjoying myself too much. Last night I had tickets to see Jon Stewart which was a blast but of course I went out for dinner and drinks first. I was ok overall but it's all become a bit excessive. So anyway from now thru next weekend no drinking for me. I feel all bloated, I may only have a drink or two but it slows down the whole process (I think someone else here said that too). My workout and good eating now just makes up for the damage I've been doing. So I'll be watching movies, switching my summer and winter clothes, hopefully cleaning up my condo etc....in all of my spare time. Hopefully I can start moving forward again. Hope everyone else is doing well :) |

I HAVE FINALLY REACHED THE 150'S!!!!!!
I haven't been in the 150's since high school and this morning I was 159. Granted I went to a friends for dinner last night and honestly dinner was pretty bad so I didn't eat much. I came home and was going to have a snack but I just made myself go to bed. Ok....4 more to go for this Halloween challenge I'm off for a bike ride, have to get those in before it starts snowing in these parts. How is everyone else doing??? |

I've been doing a lot of weights and I do look like I've lost more than 2 lbs (I've bought a 14 on top and a pair of 12 jeans) I will be the heaviest size 12 on the plant (or 5'2" size 12 anyway) 2 weeks left for me (as I go on holiday to Barcelona on the 28th) so must up my game! |

Read all your posts lovely to hear all your news and losses. I went to the gym first thing had a great run came home and had my usual fried egg sarnie. I shall be egg bound if I carry on at this rate. I didn't get my programme changed but am doing so tomorrow. The trainer said that I need to do high intensity cardio so I shall see what he suggests tomorrow. Its still my middle that needs attention my hips are so small and so are my legs. Another 5lbs down (1/2lb last week, 4 1/2lbs this) so that's 3lbs to go by the end of the month. :)

Woo, I'm back down to 10 stone 13.5lb which just about sneaks me in under that 11 stone goal, and puts me back where I started. That was what I wanted though, so I'm happy with that.

I don't think I'm going to make it after all. After gloating some time ago that I only had half a pound to go, I have been zigzagging within the same two pounds for the last few weeks. I have had several parties this month and another one to come next Saturday. This morning I was at 154.3! Great if I was maintaining but not for losing weight. |
