Well Kyk - I am 46 since January! Pretty Old!

I dunno why people like those ragdoll cats - not 'proper' cats to my mind but to each their own! I prefer moggies - esp torties with plenty of catitude!!!

kykaree 08-01-2006 06:25 AM

They're lovely! And cute, and look a bit like a siamese without being completely neurotic. I like moggies too! But we really need a cat who is going to be happy with being a 100% inside cat.

You're all spring chickens - I'm the granny of the bunch - 51!

Nope, there was no bravery involved with me going round to the neighbours. They are actually a bit scared of me and the problem was how I dealt with it once I got round there. Ever since we moved here they've constantly asked our advice about things and, in most ways, they are on a similar level to young teenagers - what with the bling, the designer gear and their general behaviour - but Mrs C is 33 and Mr C is 46! Mr C - in a moment of drunken blather at a BBQ last summer - told me that they think of me as a stern but fair aunt who they would hate to upset! They bought the house next door outright (and the bling, cars and motorbikes) after winning some money and admit that they are completely ducks out of water, especially in this particular road where the neighbours are usually very quiet and generally don't have young children. Anyway - I got yet another blummin bunch of flowers today.

Aerobics was agonising yesterday - my legs felt like they had turned to jelly and I'm not sure why. I've also got a sore tummy (as well as a sore ear). I think the sore tummy is because of the stuff I'm taking for the ear - I don't do well with painkillers. I am so looking forward to my rest day tomorrow. I am missing my swimming but I know its not a good idea to go with this earache.

You'll laugh at this - I don't mind cats - but I HATE their fur. Touching a cat makes me feel physically ill. We used to have cats when my daughter was little but I'd get the screaming habdabs if one jumped on my lap because of the fur. I don't like guinea pigs, fur coats or dogs with silky coats either. The thing is that guinea pigs, fur coats or silky coated dogs don't tend to throw themselves in to my lap at every opportunity like cats do.

Hello everyone

Hope all is well with you all

Frus your blog made me smile. Your a girl aren't you!!!

Went to the gym last night had a good run. Had an awful day yesterday though my father went to the doctors for results of bloods. There is now
something possibly suspicious going on with his prostate. My father who
I have said before is a bit of a maudlin old paddy sometimes says he thinks
he is now on borrowed time. I just felt so sad as he does look so frail. He going home to Kerry tomorrow. When he gets back there will be an appointment for him to see a urologist. I shall do as we all have to and that
is just get on with it.

I am off work for two weeks the weather is crap today. Going to the coast
Thursday if the weather improves.

Saturday a friend and I are going into London to see the Constable exhibition
at the Tate National.

I am hoping to shift a few pounds whilst off work.

Have a lovely day everyone

Michele

My dress my dress my dress!

My dress is in the shop :hyper: :dancer: I'm going to see my dress! :woo:

kykaree 08-01-2006 08:39 AM

Ooh Oooh the dress the dress!!!

I've got three EBay parcels waiting for me at home, not as exciting as a wedding dress though :(

impossible princess 08-01-2006 09:11 AM

Ragdoll cats? huh

yay your dress

Our power keeps going off its really annoying

2frustrated 08-01-2006 12:00 PM

The dress.... doesn't quite fit! :o It's a little snug, but it will be ok! I am going to be strong! And I still have 3 months of dieting time! I think half a stone would do it.

I bought a tiara too, reduced from 65 to £50. Cheaper than Berketex's £200 and Swarovski's £200!! :faint:

Ok, off to kick some but-tocks now ;)

Pachyderm 08-01-2006 12:11 PM

Oh no! Now you've got a real incentive to lose that half stone though! You can do it!

What is the dress like? Strapless? silky? long/short? If the day ever happens for me I quite fancy one with a train! However knowing my luck it would probably rain and I'd get mud all over it on the way there!

Going out for my run soon. For some reason I'm nervous ?!?

Hello everyone.....
Hope your all having a good week. Mines not too bad. I did manage a 14mile cycle ride on Sunday after feeling like a packet of lard all weekend!
Yesterday I managed to go to the cinema and not scoff through the film instead having a handful of my son`s popcorn and needing a bottle of water to get rid of the horrible taste after. A TRIUMPH!
Today`s been o.k. Ate a mini Mars to get rid of my chocolate craving and made some low fat malteser icecream for later...I feel that the words LOW FAT and MALTESER ICECREAM do not really go together but heh we`ll try anything!
Two days until weigh in and I`ve still a few miles to cycle yet if ever the rain stops..if not then it`s back to the air walker which I hate with a vengence!!
Hope the week continues well for you all.
Kim

Frus, we definitely need to see the corset!!! And the arrival of the dress is very exciting!

Pachyderm - are you doing the Cancer Research 10k? They're great fun, and far less "racey" and fast than some of the other events out there, there are no official times (although there is a clock), and it's more about taking part than getting a good time, a great idea for a first 10k. Good luck!

I think I'm going to run a 30k towards the end of the month. My long run for the day is due to be 20 miles, and 30k works out at about 18.5, so I think it would be a good idea to do it, if only because the fact it's a race means I'll have more incentive to finish rather than giving up and going home if I get tired. It's apparently quite a hilly course so more of a getting round in a run/walk way than a proper race, which is quite good for treating it as a training run, just in a different place and with a tshirt at the end.

My knee was good today, so I ran 5.6 miles then did just over 10k on the bike when I got back. The bike really kicked :censored:, I was absolutely dripping with sweat when I got back, but it helped me get a longer workout in without increasing the time on my feet, so every little helps.

Kylie, glad you're feeling more cheerful now and hope you enjoyed your ebay parcels when you got home.

kykaree 08-01-2006 03:41 PM

I have had fun opening my EBay parcels, one pair of gorgeous trousers, a pair of very pretty combats, and a pink skirt which I think is too tight around the tum, but with a pair of magic knicks will be fine.

I think I've been a bit silly with my eating. I'm not eating big enough meals and then picking at work. Today I ate a big but healthy breaky (in fact a small brekky followed by another a couple of hours later!) a good lunch and a good dinner. I gotta stop falling into this "I am fat therefore I must be punished" trap! My brain gets so messed up sometimes!

It's cold tonight. I like cold!
