I've never made them before, so I'm sure they will be a disaster!

They are really low calorie, and high protein, but best make your own so they don't have too much sugar in :D

Morning everyone! Lots of well dones... YP on the little T shirt, Frus on being kicked by a big black bloke, Cat on your loss - and Mands on your 1lb and Veggie on her loss as well.

Mands - I couldn't lose weight doing the green days of SW, after 6 weeks of no loss at all my leader told me to do alternate red and green days which worked better. Please don't lose faith in yourself - you can do this - you just need to find the right eating and exercise pattern for you - and don't let the chocie gremlins get you!

Wow - sorry if I was an obnoxious b*tch yesterday - I got a little pack of free samples of green tea with different flavours (jasmine, pear and apple and grapefruit and pineapple) from Sainsburys. They were lovely, especially the grapefruit and pineapple and I drank all three - about an hour later I developed a REAL cracker of a headache. :stars: It thundered on all day and I ended up going to bed at 8.30! It wasn't until this morning that I remembered that the last time I had green tea (about 3 years ago) I got a similar headache - and its supposed to be so good for you! :?:

2frustrated 02-17-2006 05:54 AM

Not at all! Just got our wires crossed a little ;)

Urgh green tea! Hope your headache's better :D

Sarah Ann 02-17-2006 06:03 AM

The green tea tastes really nice but the headache wasn't. Its almost gone now - the dogs and I had a lovely 2.5 hour walk in the drizzle and I'm just going to have 30 mins on the exercise bike - then I think I'm going to go back to bed for a bit to see if I can get rid of the last of it. :(

I'm back from the gym. Funny old place, I asked to make an appointment with a personal trainer and I was told to wait two :censored: weeks!!!! Before even making an appointment. Anyways, I just smiled and said fine and walked into the gym, only to see a lady having her programme done with a trainer one on one. I was tempted to storm back to the desk and make a scene.

Anyways, eventually the instructor came up to ask me how my workout was going and I explained I wanted a program, and he agreed to do one for me there and then. Silly man thought I was a girly girl dieter. I kept smiling as he set the weights ont he machines and putting them up. :wl: He soon got the message.

I tried a bit of running :woops: today, but didn't quite have this happen to me!!! Yet!!! I will get my trainers sorted, promise, it's just a bit tight again this month! It's the man's fault!!!

Now stupid question, where do you buy eggwhites and what do they look like. I take it we're not talking eggs in shells and chucking the yokes at the cat, I mean in the bin!!!

2frustrated 02-17-2006 07:43 AM

www.myprotein.co.uk and they come in a clear packet and they're proper fresh ones. They last 48 hours after opening.

Also Supercook do powdered egg whites and I get them from the baking section in Sainsbury's.

I'm really having a junk food craving! I'm STARVING! Got my slightly overdone scrambled eggs and oat cakes and it's just not cutting the mustard! I might buy a bag of crisps. I'm still hungry

Sarah Ann 02-17-2006 11:08 AM

I wonder what they do with all the yolks......... :dunno:

Sarah Ann 02-17-2006 11:20 AM

Frus - Don't do it!!!!! :drill: Think how hard you've worked. Think of all that weight you've lost. I know its only a bag of crisps, but one thing leads to another.... have an apple or a pear instead. Take a walk around the block. Go clean your teeth (not that you've got dirty teeth its just that it puts you off eating). Maybe you haven't drunk enough water today??????? You don't REALLY need those crisps. :carrot:

kykaree 02-17-2006 11:44 AM

My cute instructor was saying he eats four eggwhites for breakfast. I haven't done the just egg white thing, I don't eat that many eggs anyway. I'm getting on nicely with the protein shakes though, I like them!!! I'm sure it's only coz the powders chocolate flavoured LOL

I've had a sleep this afternoon, I was really tired again, I'll be fresh as a daisy next week at work!!!

veggie 02-17-2006 12:49 PM

I had two yes TWO bags of walkers lights last night :p They didn't taste of much. I've just had loads of couscous and veg for tea :T :D and I have another portion or two for the fridge to eat cold sometime. :T

cat90 02-17-2006 01:02 PM

Ugh :p I hate egg whites :( give me the whole egg or nowt at all  i'm hungry today too and i've already had two slices of toast :dunno: now I fancy egg on toast  think i'll have it before I start shovelling everything I can find in there :hun: ;) made shepherds pie for tea :T will take mine to work otherwise there'll be none for me when I get back tonight :tantrum:  hubby does'nt believe in sharing

cat90 02-17-2006 02:12 PM

I'm a :ink: i've just had 3 slices of toast and a poached egg  then I thought mmmm :chin: what can I have now and decided to try those special k bars I bought for the free DVD  I looked at the ingredients and the strawberry flavoured ones have strawberry flavoured cranberries in them :yikes: whats that all about? I thought I don't like the sound of that but I tried one and I LIKE them  so I had two :tantrum: i'm up to 700cals already and its only 11am :faint: HELP! I've figured if I just have some ham for lunch at 1pm (if i'm hungry) my shepherds pie at work then a couple of beers to wind down tonight when I get home then i'll be at roughly 1500 which is'nt so bad :stress:

cat90 02-17-2006 02:15 PM

angeleyezx 02-17-2006 02:33 PM

2frustrated, are you on a low carb diet?

kykaree 02-17-2006 04:11 PM

I seem to have a recollection that my mum went egg white crazy, back in 80s when it was thought eating egg yolks did nasty things to your cholesterol levels. I think she bought some powdered ones, I am sure they were horrible.

We had all sorts of bizarre food experiments in our household. My mum always was taking me to doctors, chiropractors and specialists (no she didn't have Munchausens by Proxy!!) and this allergy specialist decided that I was allergic to wheat. Well, it nearly killed me, not the wheat but the bizarre breads mum and I tried to make. The potato bread was my favourite, the consistency of wet concrete (it tasted good though) but leave it a day, and it grew the best mould ever!!!

It turned out it was wheat as grows in a field that I'm allergic to, along with roses, daisies and goats milk. Who in the name of you know who is allergic to goats milk????
