calories and exercise???

  • hi im confused if im for example trying to eat 1200cal a day which is the lowest advised before it lowers metabolism? and burning 300in the gym does this mean i need to eat 1500cal to be taking in 1200 a day? if you know what i mean???? thanks a lot
  • Yes, that's right...if you want to be taking in 1200, but you eat 1500, and exercise off 300, its equal to eating 1200. In other words, you can eat what you exercise off, lol!
  • thanks for that im glad i got that sorted it will make life easier lol i started at the gym on friday its now tuesday iv been every day and burned 400cal every day then 300cal yesterday i was 11.6 my scales say im now 11.2 is this possible ? or a mistake in the scales?
  • It's not a great idea to weigh yourself every day. Everyone has fluctuations in their weight (up and down) and looking at it every day will not give you a realistic view of your weight loss. You would be better off weighing at a set time and day every week so these fluctuations even out.
