November Exercise!

As I'm full of renewed vigour I thought I'd take the liberty of starting this off!

Just bought a treadmill, and I solemly promise to do 15 mins per day (to start with, tried 1/2 an hour and it just about finnished me!!) :carrot: ;)

icedragon6669 11-01-2005 04:22 PM

2frustrated 11-02-2005 03:30 AM

Yahoooooooo! Did a hardcore kickboxing class, needless to say I ended up on my back at the end of it! Not my fault though! :rollpin: I'll get 'im next time!

2frustrated 11-02-2005 02:32 PM

I did my weights :strong: and then I did my first day of couch to 5K. In the living room! :tread: :faint:

cat90 11-02-2005 02:34 PM

How? :dunno: wearing the carpet out? :nose:

2frustrated 11-02-2005 02:42 PM

Yeha I ran up and down the living room, from computer to window and back again. MANY times! Although we have laminate floor here cat ;)

2frustrated 11-04-2005 04:18 AM

Did another couch to 5K sesh yesterday (well half a one) but still! It was real and everything - running outside no less! :D

YP1 11-06-2005 07:16 AM

I've done, erm, not much over the past week. A long walk on the beach yesterday, and I finally conquered my fear of wetsuits and did a try dive last Monday. A bit of swimming, and a bit of a run with my sister's dog, but nothing too structured.

Dippy Chip 11-06-2005 08:52 AM

Two hours cycling at Thetford forest - yesterday AND today!

 my sides are sore from the best exercise I've had this week...laughing at my OH having a go on my treadmill!! After extracting the urine from me for buying it in the first place beacuse "why can't you just go for a walk?" I was trying to tell him it was a lot tougher than just walking around, but he decided to "show me" how easy the treadmill was - 'cept he nearly ended up flat on his face! The expression on his face was priceless and I'm still PMSL an hour after the event.
Men. You gotta love the poor buggers!

:tread: <- sums it up really!

Mazarin 11-07-2005 08:01 AM

I worked hard at the gym yesterday!

2frustrated 11-07-2005 08:48 AM

:cheer: wtg maz!

Mystic - MEN! You gotta love 'em!

YP1 11-07-2005 02:26 PM

30 minute run today, followed by some weights. very pleased with that as it was my irst day back on the treadmill.

2frustrated 11-08-2005 03:43 AM

Squats and calf raises to failure. :D I think it's working, I felt a bit stiff this morning! Hooray! I don't normally feel it, so I should be stepping up the pace a bit!

Mazarin 11-08-2005 09:35 AM

Does walking around the Trafford Centre for 4 hours carrying bags count! :)

2frustrated 11-08-2005 10:49 AM

YP1 11-08-2005 02:21 PM

Absolutely

20 minutes running, 20 minutes walking level 20 hills on the treadmill plus some ball work.

2frustrated 11-09-2005 03:23 PM

Upper body weights. No running - I need Ilene's :rollpin: after me! It was DARK! And DF wasn't home to protect me from the dark! I'm going to try and keep running in Japan! :D

YP1 11-09-2005 03:37 PM

21 minutes running, 24 minutes level 20 hills plus crunches.

YP1 11-11-2005 04:37 PM

OOOUUUCCCHHH

I did weights yesterday and increased the weight on most of them (plus tried a few new lifts), then swam this morning and my arms feel like they're made of lead. Good I suppose, as it must be working ;)

YP1 11-12-2005 04:17 AM

I ran for about half an hour round the park this morning.

This afternoon I will mainly be exercising my drinking arm.

Penguina 11-12-2005 04:01 PM

i cycled 22 miles today. Had hoped for more but it was cold and I seemed to get rather snuggly with my sofa today - tut tut - but it felt so waaaarm and gooood!

mysticvix 11-12-2005 04:34 PM

22 miles!!!! blummin heck! Good for you, that's the same as my journey to work!

Penguina 11-12-2005 04:56 PM

it was tough! with this weight loss battle i'm much more disciplined with exercise than with food :(

I work 18miles from home and am truly debating cycling to work. I have little lights on my bike and a florescent jacket (no giggling! :D ) I just need a helmet!!

hmmm, that would mean leaving the house at 5.30-6am to be sure I get to work at 8am... then leaving work at 4.30pm and cycling until around 6.30pm...

i don't like this idea... why did i even start thinking at all!

Mazarin 11-12-2005 05:42 PM

Today a nice stroll to the park in the wind and the rain..... it left the park deserted and it was wonderful!

YP1 11-14-2005 02:14 PM

10k run this morning (58:48) on the :tread:

Penguina 11-14-2005 04:12 PM

13miles cycle on sunday, 20minute brisk walk and 3 hours on my feet waitressing.

today 15miles cycle (8hours behind a desk :tantrum: !!) followed by another 3.5miles because i felt i hadn't done enough and i wanted to punish myself. I feel very :halfempty at the moment because I can't get or discipline myself to reach what I want and it's frustrating me. maybe i'm not ready to do this after all... its just that i know if i don't try now i'm just going to get bigger...

Mazarin 11-14-2005 10:07 PM

I did at lot of walking around work yesterday... I felt like I didn't sit down all day!

Mazarin 11-15-2005 10:13 PM

God that was hard work yesterday, I cleaned up the back garden for winter, my back is killing me from all that patio scrubbing.... I must have been at it for over 3 hours! Mind you I'll pat myself on the back as it looks good now! :)

kykaree 11-16-2005 01:41 AM

I went for a walk at lunchtime and even climbed the stairs back to the office!!!

I went to the gym after work, 30 minutes hill walking, 20 minutes cross trainer then off home again.

Boxercise today, I must be mad!!!!

YP1 11-16-2005 04:13 PM

30 minute run and 20 minutes on level 20 hills, I think I covered a bit over 7.5k in total. Weights tomorrow morning.

kykaree 11-16-2005 05:55 PM

I boxercised!!! I have never done a fitness class before (except aquaerobics and that doesn't count!) It was just me, a friend from work, the instructor, and a very dishy guy who actually knew what he was doing. It was really fun and different, and whilst it was very hard, it was great to do something with other people.

I felt inspired so I swum this evening, which was also most fun.........30 lengths in 30 minutes.

YP1 11-16-2005 06:17 PM

OK, no weights tomorrow morning after all - looks like I'm on the 6.40am train to London instead :(

YP1 11-20-2005 05:11 AM

Nothing yesterday other than walking round shops, I ran about 5k round the park and walked about 2k home this morning.

kykaree 11-20-2005 07:58 AM

I did a long routine at the gym yesterday afternoon, 20 minutes bike, then stepper and then treadmill, I felt really good after that. I need to work a bit harder instead of just cruising along.

This morning I swam for two hours on and off, it was lovely!!!

Mazarin 11-20-2005 02:14 PM

Okay I am not exercising this week, no gym no lifting heavy stuff! I officially have an "Upper Arm Injury" lol I pulled a muscle and my are and shoulder are all in pain and stiff and swollen, brusing is just coming out now!

I ruddy slipped on the ICE!!!

YP1 11-22-2005 02:01 PM

30 minute run and 15 minutes walking level 20 hills (about 7k in total)

kykaree 11-22-2005 05:27 PM

I did a new routine at the gym, which was hard but fun, swam, and did aquaerobics. As well as walk into town and back three times!!!

Quick workout question for YP, when you do the hilliest programme do you hold on?

YP1 11-22-2005 11:47 PM

Yes, definitely! Otherwise I could see myself going straight off the back!

kykaree 11-23-2005 01:55 AM

Thank you!!! That solves an argument with cute gym instructor!!!! I am about to head off to the gym, it's 7am, and I am on holiday. I must be mad!
