Spine-burger is my generic term for any dodgy burger-van offerings. :barf:
|
He he! Well we went out for dinner last night at a well posh pub type place! Gorgeous food, I had chicken wrapped in parma ham stuffed with mozzerella :o and lemon meringue for dessert! :T
The scales are beating me up for it this morning though, but that's only cos I'm still full! I also had a PIE on the way home :dunno: |
Janey: I call those places up-chuck-trucks. :barf: I used to go to the rugby (union, of course :p) every week and just the smell from the burger van knocked me well sick.

Ooooh I'm busy RIPPING CD's in eager anticipation of my Creative Zen Micro coming tomorrow or the next day... It is my "graduation present" so I thought I'd post it on this board!
And now I'm going to rant! My friend (very VERY skinny friend) and I went out to dinner last night I was sooooo hungry before we ate that I had to go to Sainsbury's and wolf anything down before I fainted! Then we went to a posh pub type restaurant place and had chicken and stuff mentioned earlier. Now my very VERY skinny friend had recently joined the Navy (why, I'll never know, but there you go!) and is doing lots of running and jumping and climbing trees and the like! BEFORE she went into the Navy she was very VERY skinny, ie size 8/10 at 5'9" or so :barf: you could see her ribs and her legs were about as thick as my arm! Anyways, so now she is doing her running jumping climbing trees thing she is about as fat as lightening rod! She now informs me she has "muscles" and is all fit and buff! He he! But her stomach is so flat her hip bones stick out over her jeans and just look horrible! Ok so now I just sound like I'm SKINNY BASHING but wait, I'm getting to the point! Anywho, so over the course of dinner, she says, "You've lost loads of weight, even since last time I saw you!" (which I haven't since I've been plateaued for about 6 months!), "But you don't want to go too far - you don't want to lose your curves! Keep the boobs!" I'm a 34DD so there's plenty to go around still ;) But the CHEEK of it! I mean really! When she's looking like such a WAIF and then tells me not to get too thin! What is she on...??? She does it every time I see her too, and I just go, yeah yeah :blah: blah blah blah! Anyway rant over! I do love her dearly but really! |
argggggggh id typed out a full big hoohaa and it vanished. great start to my week and its raining but on the up side ive lost 2lbs this week im now at 10st8 im really begining to think i may see 9st something this year
|
Toot you are amazing! What I would give to be 10st anything!
|
ive just worked it out............5st6lbs ive lost since end of march last year!!!!!jeezy peeps thats very daunting
got exactly 2 st left to go.........i am going to do this, my birthday is in september so im going to aim to lose the rest by then |
Toot - that is truly awesome, you are amazing & i hope very proud of your achievement - I'm sure you'll reach your goal.
Way to go :D |
Wow - that's really inspiring! I'm afraid I've got more than 2 stone to go, but I'm getting there, at least.
|
:bravo: :cp: :woo: Well done Toot!! You should be well chuffed with yourself! If this time next year I can say I've lost 5st 6lbs I'll be on :cloud9: !
Frus - I share your - um, frustration - completely! I'm 5'1" and the absolute lowest weight I've been in my adult life is 12st 5lbs...patently nowhere near skinny. Yet I have three or four women friends who all say things like..."Oh, don't lose weight, you're lovely as you are" :tantrum: , or (even worse) "you're so cute, don't ever change!" :rollpin: :tantrum: For one thing, I'm not and never will be "cute" (and don't wanna be, either!!), and for another thing, it's just so damn patronising and insulting. These women I'm talking about are suicidal if their weight goes over 8 stones, yet they're telling me my size doesn't matter. :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: It gets me SOOOOOOO mad!!! Janey |
I know what you mean, I have a friend who is really depressed about being 8 stone 12, and moans to ME about it!
If I was 8 stone 12 I'd be bloody ecstatic, and don't whinge to me that you can't lose weight and then in the next sentence mention the box of cakes and whole pizza you ate last night. |
thank you ladies..........just goes to show if i can do it anyone can.....sounds very cheesy but my whole life ive dieted in one way or another , last year something just clicked in my head that i could not let myself give in, i did have from dec1st to jan1st completely off, so i could enjoy all things christmassy(mainly goodies) but didnt actually do much damage i think i gained 6 lbs which isnt too bad, and i didnt get disheartened this year because i knew that yes i could shift it again
so you ladies just think it is doable.......and even if you have the odd day or even week off plan then it isnt irreversible but i have to say and say it genuinely without this site in all the years ive used it, i would never have managed to stick it so ladies im THANKING all of you for helping me along :hat: :grouphug: :goodvibes |
I got my degree results today!
I got a 1st! :hyper: :D  |
Congratulations!!!
I remember that feeling, great isn't it :) |
Congrats 2f! I sooooooooooooooooo remember getting mine!!
Jump up and down for days on end. Occasionally smile and squeal - in very public places. Stare into the mirror and try to find the clever so-and-so who got the best result possible! And look at the sibling, friend who was always the clever one.... JOY!!!!! Now I understand the 'Superwoman' tag!!!! :coach: :coach: Have a loud shout on me!!! |
