Mad March Weigh-In

At last! A month I can spell

Well today the scales crept under the dreaded 12st....

11st 13 3/4lbs!!!!  nice! :D

stef 03-03-2005 05:32 AM

Congratulation 2f!

I am still waiting for my stone change - work and utter knackeredness prevent healthy living at the moment!

Can I hear you shout "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

taichilady 03-03-2005 05:07 PM

Managing to stay the same at the mo, though the scales did do an upward blip one morning. Have terrible snack attacks, wish I could ban all crisps and chocolate (in the world  ). I suppose Mother's day might bring some of the dreaded c word my way, help! Hoping they just forget or don't get the chance to get anything :crossed: BTW, was nagged into getting broadband, now I don't have to play Spider while I'm waiting for the page to load!

cat90 03-03-2005 07:12 PM

:lol3: Well Done Frus :cp: on the spelling and the stones change ;)

veggie 03-03-2005 07:48 PM

Death by Chocolate

Meal out last night to celebrate parent's 48th anniversary, very good, only one piece of garlic bread (what did you say? with toasted cheese on top? urrmm.....) and a small portion of scampi (share my mother's chips? the very idea!!), but then, as I eyed up the gateaux, hubby said "Why not try death by chocolate like your Mum?" when I usually stick to their lovely blackcurrant cassis sorbet. Oooh, silly mee.... how sickly do they make these things? Cake and a buttercream filling yes, but why do they smother it in all that sickly topping? I'd not have been able to finish it without the ice cream (again, never did like cream with dessert). Dear Hubby "Just think that you've had your treat for this week" - THIS WEEK? Does he know nothing? A week is too long, isn't it girls, even if it's only something little?
Ah well, I'll stick to the sorbet next time, forewarned is forearmed. Am still managing to stay level while I gather myself for the next assault on the flab :D .
Keep up the good work, well done all on your efforts Chicks

cat90 03-06-2005 12:01 PM

 Sounds like heaven to me :cloud9: :T

tootoot 03-07-2005 03:19 AM

yvonne_germany 03-07-2005 09:40 AM

Hi All

Think I was good all weekend, just need the scales to reflect it now, unfortunately my scales are broke and the spare pair are in KG and the marker line takes up the whole space between the kilos. You'd think the manufacturers understand that every 100g is important sometimes. I actually went to a WW weigh-in and lost 100g (1/8 lb) once and was still happy. (thats the minimum you can lose),

You obvious left too then. my Stats are Ok, but I bet Toot gets to 120lb before I do, she flying. :angel:I'm 1 step forward then nothing for a week, but still trying though :snail:.

I would love a piece of death by chocolate, But how can 1 lb of chocolates, put on 3lb in weight. My boyfriend thinks its impossible, but I know its not.

tootoot 03-07-2005 10:43 AM

toot will probably be at 170 again before she sees 120.....its the way it always happens
lose and lose , then i think FCUK it and eat what i like and put weight back on
i bet your boyfriend is a stick insect, never has to worry about what he eats.......or hed know all about the horrors of chocolate and how easy they can turn from a lb in a box to 3lbs on our hips or bums or tums .......or if your like me all over

BritinNJ 03-07-2005 11:29 PM

Well done you loser FCUKers :) I'm a loser this week too, FOUR pounds... but we know that's cos I can't chew... so now I have two to lose to reach my Easter goal, very do-able....

cat90 03-08-2005 05:24 PM

Well Done Chris :bravo:

veggie 03-10-2005 07:21 PM

3 on :o birthday

cat90 03-10-2005 08:55 PM

 Veggie :dunno: never mind ;) we're all entitled to celebrate that :D (if we still want to   ) you'll get it off for next week ;)

tootoot 03-11-2005 02:30 AM

3 on isnt too bad veggie at least you arent right back at your re-starting weight(which you thought), tell you what it takes guts to go to a class knowing your going to have a gain, i used to just not go, if i knew id gained then one week would lead into another and you get where im going!

cat90 03-11-2005 12:14 PM

Down 1.5lbs this week  :)

MadamDotty 03-14-2005 02:18 PM

hi all, first weigh in today since I started weighing again and I'm very pleased to say I've lost 2.5 lbs. I did a bit more exercise last week, but I did have a bit of funny tummy on the weekend so I didn't eat too much (for a change), so I'm not sure what's worked, but I'm well pleased. I feel that weighing again was the right decision as knowing I've lost has motivated me to carry on (just have to make sure I don't have a gain in case it works the other way :dizzy: )

:D

WillowFae 03-15-2005 06:47 AM

Down 0.5 this week (shorter week due to having to go to a different WW meeting). Can't put half a pound on my weight tracker :(

tootoot 03-15-2005 06:56 AM

well done cat and willow ........me myself and i ...........are up 2lbs, but what ever was bugging me has gone and have been back on track since yesterday without struggling to stick to it

veggie 03-15-2005 08:56 AM

That's unfair not being able to put half pound in! ;) My slimming world group weighs in half pounds but when we get a different consultant due to hols they never do.

cat90 03-15-2005 08:07 PM

Yeh it is :rollpin:  but it'll sort itself out with the next half pound :)

Oh my sister told me she'd put 6 on and she'd lost a half I was furious!

tootoot 03-16-2005 08:56 AM

thats sisters for you...........cant do right for doing wrong..............me being the elder sister knows ALL about this!!
did you watch oversize kids last night on ch4? there was a young girl on it, and i felt so sorry for her and the way she was thinking about herself, then i realised OMG!!! that was exactly my way of thinking at that age, shes a very lovely looking girl and is now losing the weight but the emotional damage i think may take a lot longer to get rid off

veggie 03-16-2005 09:06 AM

I didn't see it. I was watching American idol and drinking wine. I saw celeb fit club though that Paul Ross is annoying he lost 10 pounds! I think it was 10.

tootoot 03-16-2005 09:42 AM

paul ross is annoying anyhow, as is tina blinking baker(she drives me nuts) lizzie is getting less stroppy and attitudey since she started losing weight, maybe theres more to her than a gobby mouth after all, pity it finishes too soon to find out

2frustrated 03-16-2005 12:58 PM

ok confession time..... :o

I've put on about 4 or 5 lbs with broken toe, 90th birthdays and no kickboxing :stress:

I'm really going to kick my armadillo's butt! I'm being mega good and have promised that I'll relax when I'm down to 11st 10lbs. However long that'll take me! No bingey days or biggy meals out or anything like that!

I'll probably be down there in no time anyway cos the Uni work is starting to pile on now... No time to eat! I wish! I tend to eat too much just to make up!! :lol3:

Ah well, I'm taking it one day at a time and I've been good since Sunday if I don't mess up tonight at work! Had a small hiccup on Monday cos the computers at work went down for 2 hours, so we had to stay till 1am! I bought crisps...

MadamDotty 03-16-2005 03:02 PM

Keep going Frus, it must be difficult with your toe as you're normally so active. How much longer will it take to heal? Hope you're up and at 'em before too much longer.

Just a note about Celeb Fit Club, which I've just watched (recorded it), I have to vent but Lizzie annoys me soooooo much  for all the obvious reasons, but what get's me real mad is that as a non-celebrity and without the money the others have, she's been given an amazing opportunity, I would LOVE to have a dietician to give me advice 24/7, a fitness instructor (even if it is Harvey) to personalise a programme for me, advise, bully, motivate, but again be there with any questions, problems etc, a hypnotherapist on hand if she wants it, and what does she do - dismisses most of it as rubbish and has been the least successful person they've ever had. She's been given all these things, that I know if I had would help, I know at the end of the day it's down to you and you've got to lose the weight, but she's had so much support and has just wasted it. GRRRRRR :bomb: :censored:

That's better, just wanted to get that off my chest :dizzy:

tootoot 03-16-2005 03:28 PM

thatll be at least a lb off with all the venting energy used up
i watched trisha at work one day last week and it was about weight, there was someone on saying that personal trainers are not as expensive as people think, the money some people spend on takeaways a month would pay a monthly PT(personal trainer) the money some people spend on smoking would pay for a PT same with drinking
id give up anything to have a few one on one sessions with harvey :drill:

veggie 03-17-2005 07:17 PM

Lost 2 pounds. Still not exactly 100% into the slimming world plan  but I wasn't last year either when I lost quicker. :p :) I told my consultant I was 50% there which is about right.

cat90 03-17-2005 10:07 PM

Well Done Veggie :cp:

tootoot 03-18-2005 02:13 AM

well done veggie i like that line.........i told my consultant.............sounds very
la-de-dah, be good one to drop into conversation, yes i was chatting with my consultant
right im away to ebay before school see what other bargains i can snaffle up

2frustrated 03-18-2005 04:52 AM

lol @ toot on the e bay thing! Almost bought a motorbike!

:bravo: veg can I borrow about 25% of your 50% then I'll be more motivated than I am now!!

Dotty, they reckon about 4 more weeks of hurts :( But I can walk a lot better now. Am going to start a Yoga class on Sunday morning and perhaps go swimming afterwards. Then I'm going to go back to kickboxing on Tues but take it easy. I won't be going to the "advanced" class for a while!

cat90 03-18-2005 01:34 PM

Good for you Frus ;)

Another ONE (lb) bites the dust :) note to self :coach: STAY AWAY FROM THOSE :censored: EASTER EGGS

tootoot 03-18-2005 03:46 PM

cat the only cure for your egg addiction is 2 buy in bulk and sit and stuff your kite with them till your sick.............you wont put another one past your mouth

cat90 03-18-2005 05:54 PM

It did'nt work with beer  i'm SURE it won't work with CHOCOLATE :T I'd give up food before chocolate  I really would!

WillowFae 03-20-2005 04:58 PM

Lost 4lb this week :)
