December Weigh In
Ok Girls and dude. Here's our accountability for December. Surely we can be as good as we can and even if we maintain or lose just a pound or two, it's better than nothing.
We all know that the temptaions are going to be right in front of our eyes for this whole month, but if we support each other, pop in here for a moan, for help or to give support often, we'll be on a good start for 2005 :coffee: :D |
Hello all, I feel like singing!!!! A glorious 1.5 lb off this week :smug: .
:cb:  :cb: :flow2: My WW leader was advising us all about how to deal with Xmas parties, and for the first time, I was glad I'm not going to any! That would knock me right off track. Don't want to undo all my good work. |
He he! Well done tai! :bravo:
1lb off for me this week! I'm glad I'm not going to any xmas parties too! I'm glad it's just me and fiance this xmas (he is a stick insect) so will be hardly any temptation unless I buy it!! |
:bravo: Tai & Frus :) Keep up the good work! I'm proud of ya both.:D
|

|
WI tonight at 12st 9lbs. 1lb off my 10% and 1 stone off the top of my goal weight range. It's just so SLOW!!!
Well done to everyone who's lost and good luck in the run up to Xmas! |
Well done Angel, slow off is good remember, the slower you take it off, the less likely it's going to go back on. :)
|
Yeh Well Done Angel :cp:
:o Its that long since i've lost owt that I don't know what i've lost  its either 1.5lbs or 2.5lbs he-he  but whatever it is i'll take it  oooh just found my chart and its 1.5lbs :) I guess 2.5lbs was wishful thinking :genie:  better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick eh? |
Tummy bug
Ooh urgh - weight dropping off due to not eating anything for a day or so :( . Dear hubby had it earlier in the week and helpfully passed it on. It's got so I'm not hungry. Plenty of fluids, and a little yoghurt yesterday, and stomach felt as if it was tied in a knot. Anyone got advice on how to break a fast? I can't think what's easily digested. Hope it doesn't knock me off track :^:
'Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick' - my sister in law was fond of saying that - any idea where it came from? She was born in Kent I think, but grew up in Cumbria. |
Oooo TC hope you feel better soon, try dry toast with tea for a bit to bring the food intake back up, that always works for me.
Well done Cathy... were you even trying luv? I remember a mention of a beer being drunk? :) I've lost five pounds this week, but I can't change my ticker cos I gained it before this last week... and it won't let me change it to a Christmas one either, I tried yesterday..pooh! |
:yikes: WOW Well Done Chris :cp: you've caught me out :o NO I was'nt even trying i'm guilty of drinking beers and eating lots of chocolate  so don't know how i've lost it because i've not exercised for weeks either :dunno: can you lose weight from excitement? because thats all i've got at the moment :hyper: can't wait to go home :D
Tai..My daughter and grand-daughter had that last week :( hope its far far away when I get there  maybe try the toast like Chris said or a Rich Tea Biscuit :dunno: they used to recommend them for morning sickness as I recall  never worked for me tho' :( "better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick" was said to me once by my boss in England and I always remembered it because it was the first time i'd heard it  no idea where it originates from  but it made me laugh. |
:dunno: Chris why can't you change your ticker? just go and make a new one then remove the old one and paste in the new one ;) i've just done it :D do you like my snowman? :^:
|
Hello everyone!
Tai, my Mum's been told by docs in the past to eat pears, plain rice and I think it was yoghurt for easy digestion. She had some evil food poisoning thing and lost about half a stone!! Hope you're feeling better soon :grouphug: |
I love your snowman Cat and that's the same ticker I was trying to change too..I'll have another go, here's goes....
|
Hey, hey, hey..I did it :)
|
Ta everyone for your advice, tried the toast and yoghurt (separately!) and am fine now :D . Dropped an amazing 5lb according to scales, but don't expect that will last :p !
My darling boys just bought 2 new games and wondered why the computer was working slowly - the hard drive is so full, it must feel like it's got indigestion - and just after a good clear out of games they no longer played  ! have just about agreed to them having a console instead, then I could get on the computer whenever I wanted, and no clogging up of the hard drive - wishful thinking...... |
Another week... another weigh in to report...
Method = Less carb and More veges, proteins and exercise 1st week loss = 8lbs 2nd week loss = 5lbs 3rd week loss = 1lb (red week) 4th week loss = 0lb 5th week loss = 3lbs (red week) Last week loss = not sure as didn't get weighed This week loss = 2lb Total = 19lbs - I know I haven't been rigid with my diet, but exercising madly and the weight loss is really slowing down!!! BBB <feeling slightly depressed> |
P.S.
Did I mention that I have booked a two week holiday to the carribbean? I am so depressed... thought I would be further along than this... am thinking about cancelling. Where is all the Xmas cheer BBB? |
BBB/ Listen to me!!! 19 pounds in seven weeks is absolutely fabulous luv. Well done!!! What a super super job you've done! you should be so proud of yourself. It took me over six months to lose that amount and if I don't behave, it'll be back on.
Go to the carribbean and enjoy yourself. And just let me tell you this, when you get there, I can guarantee that you'll look great, as all sorts of people, all shapes and sizes go there. You won't stick out like a sore thumb or a fat bum ( it rhymed :)) I'm proud of ya!!! Keep up the good work! :) |
Official weigh-in - 1.5 lb, that will do fine for me :) . My tummy has at last gone, and when I turn, my clothes stay behind rather than straining over my belly :D summer trousers fit again, what a pity all my winter trews are huge. Shopping tomorrow, must trawl for decent ones.
|
Well done BB & Tai! Woohoo
BB you have done SSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO well! The loss is bound to slow a little bit cos you're now losing what is hopefully fat, rather than just water/other tissue stuff (technical, no?) which is what you lost in the first few weeks. Well done, keep going, you're doing great! |
Another week... another weight!
Thank you for your kind words, 2frustrated and BritainNJ. I was feeling so mad with nothing in particular, because (although not a saint) I have been eating really well and going to all classes at the gym and simming - only 4-5 days a week mind. But this week the scales have shown the fruits of my labour.
1st week loss = 8lbs 2nd week loss = 5lbs 3rd week loss = 1lb (red week) 4th week loss = 0lb 5th week loss = 3lbs 6th week loss = not sure as didn't get weighed Last week loss = 1lb This week loss = 3lbs Total = 22lbs - YAHOO! Still a long road ahead, but feeling more positive. BBB (YAHOO again!) |
You're doing really awesome BBB :) YAHOO, YAHOO, YAHOOOOOOOO! :)
|
:bravo: BB :cp:
|
Hello all. I feel I have to apologise for my success this week - where are you all? I expect you're all at various Xmas parties and enjoying it to the full :hat:. My WW meeting has also been very small, everyone shopping and overindulging! I have lost 2.5lb this week, but due in part to a relapse of the tummy bug. Perhaps a weekly 24hr fast isn't such a bad idea .
|
 theres absolutely no need to apologise Tai  Well Done :cp:
|
Well, this is my first time at this so I hope I did it right (not sure how I could do it wrong, but if there's a way I'll find it).
This week, to auspiciously mark my rediscovery of 3fc, I've have stayed completely the same . So typical. So much funnier than it should be. It was the pizza hut yesterday, never a good idea at lunch time. Hope everyone else is doing better. Frances xxx |
Hey everyone! I've had bundles of coursework!
I've stayed the same though, even with the spotted dick and jaffa cakes..... Hope everyone has an amazing Christmas! |
Hey people, long time no see! Dont no if any of you remember me coz I always post for a little while (when Im at home during the holidays when Im at home and have internet access!), then disappear off the planet (when Im back at uni & dont have internet access!)
Anyway Ive no reached 11st 4lbs! Yay! |
Well done all :) Wish I could say I've lost, but when I weigh in tomorrow I'll have to put my ticker back up, cos I've been a big fat oinky this week.....
|
Hello all. Just had to post, to use the Xmas smilies - Happy Christmas, enjoy yourselves!
:sman: :snf: :sman: :sman: :merry: :sman: |
Hi people,
Well I'm here to say that I read an article earlier and it says the average person gians seven pounds over the holiday season...and I have managed to gain FIVE already and it's not Christmas for another five days! I'd like to say I'm not average, but the truth is that I'm a big piggy and I've been eating crap and not getting to curves frequently enough. I've added the 3 FC ticker to my signiture today, so let's hope it shows up, I put the weight gain in and I'm not liking what I see. Any bashes with the rolling pin from anyone would be greatly appreciated at this point. Thanks in advance. :) |
I normally gain about 10! :o Oh well I'm looking forward to January :o :p
|
I've never dared to weigh myself before or after  !! Starting to slip already, though it hasn't shown up on the scales yet :crossed:
Brit - :rollpin: as requested, but with a :grouphug: thrown in. Love the new tickers. Good luck everybody!!!!!! |
Just about there!
Yippee! 1.5lb off means I'm only a pound off my Xmas goal, which is close enough for me :D . I've set my new goal at 12 st, but can't see how long it will take me. I hope to lose half a stone for Easter :^:
Have a good time everyone! :merry: |
Thanks for the thump with the hug Tai :)
:bravo: on the loss...I'm sure as good as you've been doing recently, you'll surprise yourself over Christmas and either lose or maintain. Wahooooo to you. :balloons: :merry: |
AM too scared to look at the scales!
Have been scoffing at work, and not really watching food at home, ah well at least I didn't buy much junk at Sainsbury's yesterday! Have a very merry Christmas everyone, and enjoy yourself! |
Hi all, hope you had a great day. Very mixed here, lovely family day, all went smoothly and we all had a great time, BUT.... have made the mistake of 'upgrading' the computer, as dear kids wanted to play better games, and have spent HOURS trying to install them, with no success  . Screen resolution is wierd, either too small or hideously large, with no inbetween. It literally makes me feel sick. IT SHOULD BE FASTER AND EASIER!!!!!!!
Too much chocolate, won't sleep for ages tonight, aargh! Rant over now, Happy Christmas all. Oh dear, antivirus protection going off, goodbye......... |
Oooh blimey Tai sounds funny! We had the greatest day, just played games, watched videos and went for a walk and had nice food! Our Christmas meal spread over the whole day!
Merry Crimbo everyone! |
Hi folks
Computer up and running again :crossed:, so I'm back - bet you didn't miss me anyway. Too much chocolate and booze, uurgh! It's not so much Christmas that gets me, as New Year - not that I celebrate it much, it's just a double whammy, and far too close to Xmas anyway. Weight staying down, probably due to stress and worry caused by computer misbehaving in a major way. Saved from endless evenings of Trivial Pursuit and Charades, hooray! Well, I think I've satisfied my surfing cravings, so shall pop off to bed, see you all again soon. :dz: |
