I am back food optimising

For a whole 24 hours I have been following the slimming world plan again  :smug: I have no idea how many syns my mandarin dessert from M&S was but I have been counting my syns for a whole day after about a month of not doing so. :o

linus 08-18-2004 12:40 PM

i still do it and ive not been to a meeting in months but i find it such an aesy diet to follow especially the red days that it fits in well with my normal diet but i dont have to stress if due to my forced inactivity i dont lose anything at least its not going up!!!!!

cat90 08-18-2004 01:31 PM

Well Done Veggie :) keep it up you've come so far :bravo:

Kelly M 08-18-2004 05:27 PM

That's fab veggie! Just take one day at time, and they will soon turn into weeks, then months :)

Another sticker will soon be yours!

veggie 08-18-2004 06:29 PM

Hopefully, will have to careful after weigh in tomorrow night. :o

Heavensbug 08-19-2004 07:36 AM

You girls are my inspriration! ;)

veggie 08-23-2004 07:46 AM

cat90 08-23-2004 03:13 PM

:cheer: for Veggie :cp:

Cluck 09-02-2004 05:57 PM

Hi, we don't have Slimming World meetings near me, what are they like? What happens? I am using the online diet, and doing okay... 8lb lost in two weeks.

cat90 09-02-2004 06:44 PM

Well Done Cluck :cp: I'm sure that Veggie will help you out with that one ;)

veggie 09-02-2004 06:53 PM

8 Pounds in 2 weeks sounds good to me :D

Kelly M 09-02-2004 07:03 PM

Certainly does! Well done!

SW meetings are really good - you get weighed then you have Image Therapy whereby the SW consultant goes around each person annoucing their weight losses and asking what done that week, getting ideas from group if someone finding particular things / times difficult - ie what do people take for lunch to work on red days blah blah. And the awards and slimmer of the week is annouced.

I used to kid myself that I could do it alone, but I can't - I need the focus as don't have enough willpower alone.

Sounds really cheesy and American "yee har" group huggy - but its not I promise ;)

It's a shame you don't have a group near you, but they do have postal membership I hear? And get the magazines which are bi-monthly - they are good.

Good luck - but it sounds like you are doing fab anyway! :bravo:

Heavensbug 09-03-2004 05:03 PM

The Slimming world meetings do sound good but the thought of going to one on my own does not appeal! :(

I'm doing it solo ~ have bought loads of books and am well into it now (5 weeks this Sunday). People have already commented that I've lost weight and I feel good. One of the major things for me has been my skin. I suffer from ezcema badly and my skin had virtually cleared yet!

Yeah Slimming World! :cheer:

Cluck 09-03-2004 05:08 PM

Hi all. I have got a subscription for the magazines. How I wish I could attend a group! I have asked if they are likely to come to Jersey, but apparently SW couldn't support the Jersey based consultants in the way that they like to. So we may never get SW here!

Kelly M 09-04-2004 08:25 PM

I'm sure SW is gonna take of the world sometime soon! So you will get one eventually! ;) Just like Cable!

Heavensbug 09-05-2004 06:54 AM

I was in Tescos yesterday and noticed that their own brand states how many weight Watchers points it contains! :(

I might write to them and say 'what about us Slimming world lot???' :?:

Bride2Be67 09-05-2004 12:06 PM

Hi everyone

I have been thinking of joining for quite a while now and have finally got the courage to do it :) I joined slimming world and lost 6lbs in my first week, however the second week wasnt so good  dont know what happened as I can honestly say that its the easiest diet I have ever been on, well anyway its back on track next week :^: I have always had a weight problem about 20 years or so, but am getting married in march 2006 and have decided that its now or never!

you all sound like a great bunch of people, if anyone else is on slimming world and can give me some tips I would be grateful.

Thanks

Brenda

Hi Brenda and welcome!!! http://members.aol.com/browrob549/emo/signs046.gif

Congratulations on the impending wedding! http://members.aol.com/browrob549/emo/love032.gif

I've been on the Slimming world diet 5 weeks today and can honsetly say I don't even feel like I'm on a diet. I think I've lost about a stone (I have crap scales which regularly change their mind!) and my clothes are gettng looser!
I don't think I ate this much BD (before diet!) http://members.aol.com/browrob549/emo/eatdrink015.gif

I have a long way to go and am off to the states in 12 days (not that i'm counting) so am dreading feasting on their yummy food :yikes:

I've bought loads of the Slimming world cookbooks, food directories and magazines which really do help and give you loads of ideas!

Oh and my tip of the day
Options drinks with some of your milk allowance when you get a sugar craving! YUM!! http://members.aol.com/browrob549/emo/eatdrink027.gif

Bride2Be67 09-05-2004 04:04 PM

Thanks for the welcome Heavenbug :)

Are options drinking chocolate a free food or does it have sins? The reason why I wasnt fully on program last week is because I had the dreaded sugar craving  and just succumbed to it, thanks for the tip

Brenda

Most of them are 2 sins. I had a raging sugar craving (TOTM) last week and they really helped. The oranage one is lovely and I have a turkish delight one all ready to try! http://members.aol.com/browrob549/emo/eatdrink013.gif

I've also stocked up loads of 'fun size' chocolates which are great when you need a sugar hit.
Milki way is 3.5 sins
Mars is 4.5 sins
Aero is 3 sins, and an aero snack size is 6.5 sins.

Have you got a Slimming World food Directory ~ it's a good investment! Tells you all the sin values.

Superwitch 09-05-2004 05:51 PM

Well all my good intentions went to waste. I have still not got back on the wagon after going on holiday. I am back to the SW meetings tomorrow though and I am sure that my huge gain being made official will be a huge kick up the backside - lol. Fingers crossed for me.

Cluck 09-07-2004 04:19 PM

Getting cable

Yeah, we just ordered cable....

veggie 09-07-2004 06:08 PM

Turkish delight was nice but the Orange one is in the lead at the moment!

Have the toffee and mint ones to try next! Watch this space!

Thanks for reminding me ~ I'll check when I go shopping on Friday!

Kelly M 09-08-2004 06:37 PM

Yup the mag is out - but I not seen it in the shops yet - just the old one.

veggie 09-08-2004 06:41 PM

The groups get it first

Kelly M 09-08-2004 06:46 PM

See - theres a good reason to stay at SW ;)
Do you live in Manchester? Like your friend that recently joined?
If you do - come along to my class :) You have proven that SW works for you - losing over 3 stone proved that!! It may be that you just need a change or "fresh start"?
It's in stretford - monday (good night to be weighed me thinks - start of week) 7pm.

Course ignore this if you live in Edingburgh ;)

veggie 09-08-2004 06:50 PM

No I live in Cumbria :( ;)

Kelly M 09-08-2004 06:57 PM

Lol! :dizzy:

Bride2Be67 09-12-2004 04:34 PM
