Question SW lunch ideas?

I'm having a go at SW and it seems to be suiting me quite nicely, but I've hit a bit of a sticky wicket when it comes to lunches.
I've got access to microwave at work but to be honest it's a motorcycle workshop so everything's quite mucky so I usually bring a packed lunch or make up sandwiches at my desk, I could do with some ideas for lunches that aren't too time consuming to make and are a bit more exciting than a salad sandwich!!
Oh yeah, I'm finding green days easier.

Why don't do take a spud to warm up Mystic? You could put some beans on top and if the place is mucky you could wrap it in some paper towel or use a paper plate while you nuke it

Yeah, thanks, I have done that in the past but to be honest it's not the sort of place you want to "cook" anything in, it's very dusty and the washing up facilities leave a lot to be desired..............bet you all feel lucky in your jobs now eh?
Plus I only get a half hour break which I don't really want to spend faffing about doing dishes in. (akward bugger eh?)

I can't think of owt I eat the same stuff every day Im v boring. If in doubt quote from the sw website

Quote:
Salads are boring!

If your salad usually consists of lifeless lettuce, overpowering onion and tasteless tomatoes, it isn’t the most appealing dish in the world! With the wealth of ingredients and flavours available today, there’s much experimenting to be done!

ever tried fruit in a salad? Melon, strawberries, apple, peaches, figs and citrus fruits such as grapefruit and orange all taste delicious amongst crunchy salad vegetables using roasted, rather than raw, vegetables in a salad, can totally transform the taste. Grilled peppers marinated in balsamic vinegar and garlic provides a melt-in-your-mouth experience!

instead of a cheddar and pickled onion ‘Ploughman’ style salad, a delicious alternative is goat’s cheese, balsamic onions and lentil salad, bursting with exciting ingredients! Find salad of rocket with goat’s cheese, lentils and balsamic onions in Celebrity cookbook.

On Green days you can enjoy an appetising pasta or rice salad, hot or cold.
a simple pasta, cherry tomato, pepper and vinaigrette salad is totally Free on Green

grated carrot and sultanas make a perfect combination with rice
cold pasta with a herby fromage frais dressing accompanies salad vegetables perfectly

Original days can produce any combination of carved meat salads, often a great way of using up leftover meat.

tuna, prawns, salmon and crab sticks can all be enjoyed with salads for Free. Check out our delicious prawn recipe

coat some chicken with Cajun seasoning, grill and then enjoy with a cool salad
chopped bacon and chicken taste great in a BLT style salad

What about cold beans?

I also have mainly green days. I take pasta and sauces. I make them at home and eat them cold (even though I have access to a clean microwave - lol). I actually love them cold.

An average green day lunch for me consists of:

Cold mushroom and wine pasta and sauce
Muller Light Yoghurt
Big bag of fresh peas
Banana
Apple

If I am feeling lazy then I will order a jacket potato with beans and no butter (with a little cheese on top if I feel like using a healthy extra - lol) and a fresh fruit salad from the sandwhich lady that comes in.

On a Tuesday I get meal expenses for my evening meal as I work late. I go to M&S and treat myself to one of their small pasta salads, a normal salad and a big punnet of either strawberries or cherries.

On red days I take lots of sliced meats to pick at during the day and loads of fruit.

More lunch ideas:

5 Scan Bran with 5 Laughing Cow Lite triangles (healthy extra a and b choice but very filling and scan bran are supposed to speed up weight loss).

Cold quorn sausages (free on either day). I cook them the night before and snack on them. The plain ones are my fave but I also like the spinach and gruyere and pork and leek style.

Batchelors savoury rice are nice too and are free on a green day. I make them at home and eat them cold at work.

I had scan bran cake at sw once was quite nice ( even though after eating it I had a coughing fit that I think was related ) but sw people keep saying it is horrible eating it on its own.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I think my biggest problem is that I'm totally lazy and disorganised, so tomorrow for lunch I'm taking in my SW books and I'm going to sit down and try and get organised!!!
