linus 04-12-2004 04:57 PM

is glasgow not an awful long way to go for work you must have a good job or a really specialised one and i used to hate trying to get my two ready to go to the childminders thank god i dont have to do it now you need a bomb to get my eldest out of bed

Smiling Sal 04-12-2004 05:08 PM

Am only 30 miles from Glasgow, right in the middle between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Is a hassle though would rather just go to the Stirling office, can sneak inlate there and no one knows

Smiling Sal 04-13-2004 12:15 PM

OK survived my first day back at work, was in a meeting all morning and then read my emails all afternoon. Did I tell you I had a new job ? I am now the ICT Support Team Leader for Scottish Enterprise North and Eastern Areas, rolls off the tongue. Have to do a 3 month trial while they (the bosses) assess whether I am ready for the promotion. Me thinks this is just them getting cheap labour for a wee while, time will tell. Enjoyed today though, if only every day could be that straight forward.

Am off to make potato wedges for dinner, chat to you all soon

linus 04-13-2004 02:20 PM

so sorry sal my son has just pointed out even though i left school with 7 o grades my geography sucks i dont know why i think that falkirk is in the fife side just ignore me

cat90 04-13-2004 03:06 PM

Hi Girls

Kirsty, my geography sucks too  i was never interested in that at school and could never grasp the north, south, east and west concept  my argument was "well, if i'm facing the wrong way how do i know where north is?" and no-one ever did give me an answer  god knows how i can follow a map OK now  it was nothing to do with my education i can tell you :nono:

Went shopping yesterday and all the creme eggs had gone at the superstore :( but all the cheap "baking chocolate" eggs were left :p then when i went to another store it was full of them :T TONS OF THEM! so now i've got dozens of creme, caramilk and truffle eggs  and 4 big bags of mini eggs :T i left a dozen on the table and hubby put away about 6 of them in one sitting along with a 200g bag of Nestle ones (like the mini eggs in a shell) and a couple of O'Henry bars  if i come over all virtuous in the next couple of days i'll leave them out for the human vacuum and they'll all be gone

I'm currently weeding and preparing the ground to put some seeds in, trouble is i'm getting plagued by bees  well, they're not bees but they look like them and they fly around you in a circle :spin: really weird things they are, you here a buzz and then see it going around and around, until you hit it that is

linus 04-13-2004 04:01 PM

look out cat its mum and dad are coming for you

cat90 04-13-2004 04:07 PM

 god help me then cos that sucker was big enough

Smiling Sal 04-13-2004 04:37 PM

Hey Kirsty I'm only 3 miles from the Kincardine Bridge, so close enough to Fife. I'm cr@p at geography too, if I'm reading the map in the car I need to keep turning it so the road on the map is travelling the same way we are so I can work out if we need to turn left or right.

Am not very brave around bees, spiders I can do, bees and wasps I cannot

Am still nervous about tomorrow night but still going :)

linus 04-13-2004 07:54 PM

veggie 04-13-2004 08:11 PM

Maybe that's my problem. I should give birth then I won't be scared of stuff. Is that right? :fr: :yikes: :goodscale

pippie 04-14-2004 11:21 AM

Can I just say that giving birth won't cure you veggie, i did it five times and i'm still scared of lots of stuff, especially kids they drive me crazy, lol.
Linus i love your dog we just got a little white boxer ***** who is nearly 9 weeks old and a little sweetie.

pippie 04-14-2004 11:26 AM

oops forgot to say good luck Carol you'll be fine going to slimming world I have joined lots of slimming clubs on my own and although its nerve wracking at first you'll be really glad you did everyone is normally friendly and helpful. Just wish i kept going to them instead of giving up.
