no veggie it was an article in the paper and it recommends that you eat lots of dairy as dairy products shiftn the build up of fat in problem areas such as tummy bums and thighs
kirsty
ps it was in the sun ill have to type it out as it wont let me cut and paste

veggie 04-18-2004 09:15 AM

Sorry I was replying to Chris. ;) I don't think eating loads of dairy can be good for your health. Anyway that's what your healthy extra A choices are for.

linus 04-18-2004 09:32 AM

sorry veggie i should have thought it was a study done in america they took 32 obese people and split them into three groups for six months they all cut out 500 calories from there usual diet one lot ate dairy four times a day and another took calcium pills the rest where on a low dairy diet those on dairy products lost four percent more weight and six percent more body fat than the low dairy group they also lost ten percent more fat from there midriffs the calcium group did well too showing that a steady supply of calcium boosts the bodys fat burning mechanism

Hi everyone, i didn't go to the lighter life meeting, chickened out it would of meant a four hour drive round trip so i've decided to start back on weight watchers, I know it works when i follow it properly.

there's something about slimming world though every time i join i never go back i've done that about 3 times and its a bit embarrasing having to walk in again, they must think here she comes.

veggie 04-18-2004 01:00 PM

Maybe you should do ww and sw at the same time :T :p

pippie 04-18-2004 01:03 PM

i have thought about that before, i like the way you get rewarded at slimming world and the slimmer of the week, its a good incentive they don't do that at ww you only get a silver 7 sticker for each 7lbs u lose.

veggie 04-18-2004 01:05 PM

Oh I'm gonna go to ww then. I been slimmer of week two weeks running and before that it was my sister two weeks running it's getting embarrassing  :dizzy:

pippie 04-18-2004 01:14 PM

You love it really, i know I would it really motivates you to be good the next week and carry on. I won a few times the first time i joined and it was such a good feeling. Whats the consultant called is it Noreen I've had her every time and not gone back.

veggie 04-18-2004 01:17 PM
