I used to do callenetics faithfully every evening with a friend, way back when, but had to stop as one day I popped my knee and somehow ended up doing damage to my hips on the hip swivels. I did get a lot of comments about how much trimmer I was looking though :)
Been to curves today, had a god workout. Hannah wants to join now, so I've got a first session set up for her tomorrow, should be fun exercising with my kid :) |
Everyone sounds so active! I did Body Conditioning yesterday - we used resistance bands & they definitely worked: you could really feel the difference. Tonight I've done Aquafit, which is a walk in the park by comparison, but that's exactly why we like it - it's exercising some more without overdoing it. I think Body Conditioning on consecutive days would have me aching all week!

:eek: Chris, Callenetics sounds almost dangerous :yikes: I did my 20min Pilates tape today and i've just walked 2mls :)

Callenetics is really good for toning fairly quickly and i have never had a problem with it - but you are supposed to make sure you do the exercises exactly right - only used it the other day because my puppy had hidden my normal exercise tape but i have now recovered it from behind a book case along with a load of his other treasure! I also bought a new tape yesterday which is part exercise and then yoga to cool down which i am going to give a go this morning.

Let us know how you get on with that Tracy - I've been contemplating the new fitness yoga class at the leisure centre but I can't help thinking it would be better left until I'm lighter & fitter!

Have just done the tape for the 1st time shell and it was really good fun - a lot better than my other fitness tape, mind you, i will have to see how i feel tomorrow!!
Someone i work with is a yoga teacher and she says that fitness yoga is good for any size as it is not as strenuous as aerobics etc |
Did an hour of Callenetics this morning (not so bad) and 2mls treadmilling on the weightloss program :stress:

Bakewell, give the Yoga a go. I went for the first time today and enjoyed it. I was really good today, I walked to and from the leisure centre in my lunchbreak with a workmate (1/2 hour walk each way) and did an hour yoga class. That is 2 hours of exercise. Felt really tired all afternoon though - lol.
We are going to go again next week. |
Not sore today but i can tell i've been pretzelised :lol: so today was just 2.25mls on my treadmill..i should really try and do something else but i'm in a lazy mood.

Walked/Jogged 3mls today :cp: and did 20mins of Pilates ;) feeling goooood :D

Have hardly walked from one room to aother today due to feeling poorly. I am joining the gym tomorrow with a view to going for the first time on Saturday morning. Hoping to go swin=mming twice a week, gym once a week and yoga once a week.

Well done Cathy, I really need to get the tae-bo tape out, no curves for me until Monday if they've finished the renovations by then and I can get through the snow.
How was your induction at the gym SW? Did you like it and do the trainers seem like nice people who understand that you're a normal person who just wants to get some exercise anad not become a super model in the next three days? |
