Angry Hi, I'm new to this site

My name is Fi, and I have just spent HOURS roaming round this site! Its made me even more detemined to start my diet and fitness drive tomorrow, so thanks to everyone who obviously puts so much into it!

I need to lose at least 35 pounds, and am a bit of a yo-yo dieter. Last year, I moved from London to Lincoln, and had a winter that was full of sitting in front of the tv, filling my face with tasty but VERY bad things!!

BUT.... I am fed up of feeling uncomfortable in all my clothes, so here I go!

::crosses fingers::

Welcome to 3fc. I moved from Essex to Lincolnshire two years ago and put on a fair bit of weight on top of already being overweight. The ladies on here have kept me going when I have wanted to give up. I started dieting in oct 2002 and lost 1st9lbs. I joined slimming world just under a fortnight ago and so far I have lost a lb.

Hi Fi, I too am a yo yo dieter and wish I had found this site years ago when I only had 35lbs to lose.

Hi Fi, welcome to the site & I hope you find the people on here as inspiring as I do. I hope we'll be hearing a lot more from you as you have lots of good news to report to us! Have you thought about how you plan to go about losing the weight? Are you planning on joining a slimming club or are you just going to try & do it by yourself?

Welcome Fi, hope we can help in any way or form. I must say we are a very supportive bunch of girls and help each other through the losses and the gains (cos there is always a gain at some point, no matter how hard we try). Hope to see you posting fast and furious like the rest of us. There's an 'hello I'm link on this page where we've all told each other about ourselves, we're (especially me) quite nosy, (no offense anyone who isn't as nosy as me) but I do like to know about people There's a pic page too if you want to post one so we know what you look like.
Have a great day

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the welcome!

At the moment, I'm planning on following the WW... I went at the beginning of last year, so I have all the info, so I'm going to see if I can do it on my own and with the help of all of you, and this site! My friend and I are also going to start swimming a couple of times a week, and I'm going to walk part of the way into work, rather than get 2 buses.

At the minute, I feel really positive - but I'm sure you ALL know how that feels! We'll see...

Thanks again. Looking forward to getting to know you all

Fi, a lot of us do the points programme. I do mine from home with help from everyone here and a close friend who attends meetings. I can't attend the meetings cos she goes while I am at work, but the group here have been fantastic in helping me and moral support over the Atlantic is absolutely awesome to me

Hi Fiona!

Welcome aboard!

I am doing Slimming World myself but good luck with WW.

Swimming is a good idea (said she that does NO exercise apart from walking to and from work! I actually enjoy exercising and would if I could afford to get to classes!).

Keep us posted with your losses and gains. We all have gains as well as losses so don't get despondent.
