Default Hi, been lurking for a while

Hi

I found these forums a while ago and have been lurking but have decided to join as I'm expecting the next bit of my diet to be tricky.

I started dieting in June this year and so far I've dropped from 266lbs to 203lbs. My ultimate goal is 162lbs which would put me just into a healthy BMI I set myself a target of 2lbs a week for a year and so far I am 21lbs ahead of my target but I'm expecting it to get harder for the next few weeks as I have at least one thing every week between now and new year where it will be hard to eat sensibly. I'm not in a slimming club and don't have any people in real life who understand (although people are supportive) so thought it might be good to have other dieters to talk to.

Hi Athel,

Welcome to the forum

Sounds like you are doing really well with your weightloss, well done!

What's your plan? Calorie counting?

The support is great here (as I'm sure you've noticed!), have fun settling in.

Yes, I'm calorie counting. Biggest thing for me is I write all my meals down a week in advance as if I allow myself to make spur of the moment choices I usually make poor ones!

Great, me too. I'm glad it's working for you.

A week in advance? That is very organised!

I keep a food diary which helps keep me on track.

I have to say I always write my menu list on a Sunday for the week...that way we avoid staring into the fridge/freezer wondering what to eat!
Works for me!

I need to be that organised but I'm getting there. I think i've been brainwashed by sw/ww that calorie counting is awful. I'm really enjoying it!

Good luck xx
