Going out tonight. Was going to have lasagna but have some meatballs in the fridge that are going out of date so going to have those with mash and mushy peas. Not the worlds healthiest meal but we've done a LOAD of gardening today and I'm pooped. Feel like I've earnt a higher calorie tea! Plus there's supposedly a buffet at this party we're going to and I don't want to risk attempting to fill up solely on sausage rolls, crisps and sandwiches!

I had a lamb shish kebab with salad and coleslaw, and some of my husband's chips! I have some calories left for chocolate later!!!
|
Haha, I thought I was full from tea but now pizza, meatballs, and kebab sound good! :) And I'm with you on the pizza. Even when I order it from a shop, I'm a "half the cheese, double the sauce" kind of girl.
I am actually full though. Scrabbled eggs (2 whole plus an extra white) with a bit of cheese, and a huge bowl of roasted button sprouts. And a dark choc ice for pudding. |
I tried the make-shift calzone! A tortilla covered (quite liberally) with tomato puree. I sliced some cheese really thinly and only put that on one half. I had chicken, yellow peppers, sweetcorn, onion and courgette on it. Folded it over and stuck it in the oven for about 5-10 mins. It was so so nice. I (obv.) cooked the chicken first. But everything else I just stuck on. Next time I'm going to cook the courgette first as it was a bit too crunchy for my liking. But it was still very nice. And with a salad was really filling :) I didn't use a dressing on my salad-just dipped it all in the tomato sauce :D You HAVE to try it. Seriously. I'm gonna calculate the cals in a bit, but it can't have been too high. Definitely having this again later in the week. My boyf was really jealous of my tea so I'm gonna make him a calzone too! :D

A little bit of left over lasagna tonight :) Not really hungry but I know Ill be starving in a bit and I hate eating late at night.
|
I will definitely try that next! Tonight was Thai lime chicken and rice. Really good but I went a little rice-happy :) Lower carb day tomorrow for sure!

Going for the calzone tonight! Might have to get creative, not sure what all is in the fridge for toppings. I'm sure it'll be good though!

Yesterday we had a chicken fajita calzone. So good!
Tortilla, tomato puree, bit of cheese...then I cooked some chicken, onions, peppers, sweetcorn and mushrooms and added a fajita mix to it...put all that on top of the tortilla. Fold in half. Whack it in the oven...done! It was so nice. And really filling too! |
That calzone sounds good! I must try that. :)
Tonight I had a piece of Young's cod in breadcrumbs (which leaves one spare for tomorrow's lunch), oven chips and peas. Very nice, but I think I'll be hungry later as the portion was quite small. |
I had stir fry with a little bit of rice and chicken. Was really nice.

Tomato soup with kidney beans for me today. I made one of the calzones - it was really nice! I need to do a shop before the weekend or I'll end up eating what's left in the fridge, which right now its: Mustard, eggs, baking soda, pickle :)
|
I reeeallly need to do a shop too. Theres lettuce and 2 tomatoes in my fridge! So think I'll be having something out the freezer tonight...

Tonight I had beef casserole. Easy peasy - just chucked some stewing steak in the slow cooker with a packet of Asda's casserole veg and a cook-in sauce, with a few mushrooms added towards the end. Served with Uncle Ben's Express mushroom rice. Couldn't eat it all, as it was so filling.
Some of the cook-in sauces are very low in fat and calories, as long as you avoid the creamy ones. I use them a lot. |
Had salad, chicken in reggae reggae marinade and pasta. Was really nice :D
