Default Xmas Plans

Anyone doing anything different this Christmas ?

We are off to a local chargrill restaurant for our Christmas Dinner this year, so no turkey leftovers for us. Will be a strange experience going out for Christmas dinner. We are having the full works.

I've already made the choices for my menu, Salmon in some kind of sauce or fresh fruit followed by Turkey with root vegetables and potatoes, so no pigs in blankets or onion rings for me this year - less cals.

Pudding is horrible, there are no healthy choices, it is all Christmas pudding, figgy pudding, noisettes - whatever they are. The only noisettes I have heard of before were of lamb. I am going to phone the restaurant tonight and see if I can have the fresh fruit they have as a starter for my pudding. The worst thing they can say is no and I really can't see them saying it. We need to place our order before Christmas day so they can have everything cooked at the right time.

The boys are having a very festive, tomato soup followed by chicken nuggets and then ice cream. The restaurant has a big adventure play area, so guess that is where the boys will be. At least it will burn off some of the chocolate they eat in the morning.

Anybody else up to anything?

I will be staying at home this year as we have to work on boxing day. The good news is that my dad is coming to stay on Christmas eve until the 27th and this will be the first christmas that we have spent together for 22 years - i am really looking forward to it which makes a change as i usually hate christmas! Just wish i knew what i could get him as a present!

Talking of presents my present from DH has arrived - it is in our garage, it came on Thursday delivered by a big lorry and it is two very big boxes which i just cant figure out what they can be - DH has put bin bags all over it and stapled them everywhere so that i can't get a peak! Boo Hoo!!!

Different in terms of trying not to spend the next weeks gorging myself like a

Instead of having loads of nibbly things, the plan is to have fruit or sugar free jelly and possibly M&S Count on Us crisps.

Also the gym and I plan to become really good friends over this period!!
