Question anyone else find this impossible??

A question I'd like to put to you all:
Does anyone else find it difficult/impossible to find a good pair of jeans that actually fit?

I'm about 5'4 and 60kg. Just about everything about my body is average, and yet I've only ever managed to find ONE pair of jeans that actually fit my (apparently) freakishly shaped body. The biggest problem is that the legs of the jeans are always much too long (or is it that mine are just abnormally short?)

I'm now embarking on a strict diet and exercise regime--targeting my waist, hips and inner thighs-- with the goal of dropping one dress size in order to finally fit into a pair of jeans.

Any tips or feedback on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
-a

this seems to be extremely common with most every women body type.i'm only 1/2 in. taller than you. we are right on the edge of petite and avg. you might try petite sizes. it will likely just vary with each style/store of if petite or avg fits better. if you find a pair you love, just get them hemmed to the right length.
i tend to have the best luck with some type of flared leg. like a boot cut. its an experiment.

my fav. right now are from wal-mart. faded glory stretch, demin vintage bootcut. idk if they still make these, bought them several yrs ago. they also have no pockets on back, i guess that's to minimize booty? idk if that actually works.

Thanks for the tip, Katy. We don't have Wallmart here, but I have been playing around with the idea of trying stretch jeans for a while. Maybe I'll try a few pairs of stretch jeans once I've reached my goal. That's one of the rewards I'm planning to give myself at the end of the journey.

Oh yeh forgot to say in Mens sizes you can choose the length i.e 30 waist and 32 length or 30 waist,30 length so lots of variety. Good Luck

It doesn't get any less complicated with a longer leg. I've got 33inch inside leg and if I can find a Long in stock in a lot of shops, chances are the fit is not quite right anyway. I'm sitting here in a pair of jeans that look ok standing up but are so low rise I would have a bad case of builder's cleavage if I didn't have a long top on. If I go for a tall brand or tall range which would have a longer rise, I have to take the leg up.

Hmmm, I usually buy jeans from matalan: they fit well in length and width (sigh...) and are very comfy thanks to elastan fibre. It is the only kind of jeans I can wear at the moment. Other brands simply won't fit...

i don't think i'll ever be able wear jeans that aren't boot cut. even when i'm at goal. i'm built to have hips.
fashion bug advertises it's new jeans fit well. anyone have luck with those? well i guess it just depends on the person.

even my 5yr old daughter has issues with jeans. she's an ectomorph. you would think she can wear anything. she either needs a belt or the adjustable things inside. she hates the adjustable button things inside the waist sometimes.
sometimes the only thing she wants to wear is leggings. that's just not going to cut it in these cold winters!

there is a store in the US called Kohls. Do not know if you have them in England but they are on the internet. I am 5ft6, but have short legs and petite do not fit me in the crotch. I buy short, not petite. See if any store there has them
