Week 2
Zipped 'em up a little bit this week, but the sinus/hay fever got the better of me.

I'm winding up all the Wii batteries and have ordered a big punch bag - should arrive Tuesday, OH will sort it out next weekend. So I can actually begin the exercise I have wanted to do for ages.

Hopefully I will be OK this time and won't fall asleep for a week (CFS and aneamia really don't help).

So, how do I way in? No change! Hey ho!

Lyric of the week:
Grapefruit Diet (Diet!)
Can't have another eclair
Grapefruit Diet (Diet!)
I gotta decrease my derriere

Weird Al Jankovic

If that doesn't remind me to make a packed lunch I don't know what will :D

OK ladies. Some of us seem to have hit a bump. Make a little 'pledge of the week' and let's get back on board.

My pledge of the week: exercise for 30 minutes every day.

Hey!
I'm back on the wagon. Just got back from a holiday in Italy, lovely but so much gelato!
I hit 138lbs before the holiday but I am now back to 140lb.
Hopefully I will crack down on myself again!
Good luck!

dboyuk 06-16-2010 06:10 AM

Well this world cup ain't the best idea for me, although I go on holiday at the end of next week, so hopefully that'll help as I usually don't eat as much when abroad and hopefully I'll burn more...............hehe.

Still no change, so still 198/199/195.

Another 2lb loss this week. Feeling better about myself too!

Ellie R 06-19-2010 04:24 AM

Hey all!

well done starbuck!!
it's gone a little quiet on this thread?
I am still hovering at my 159 - but happy enough, though putting a little more effort at the moment to getting those last couple pounds off...

I walked up a hill yesterday, big one, called the Malverns.

Nearly died, came back down and had an ice cream (very nice, lemon meringue flavour).

Now, I knew my leg would probably give me gip going up hill but I had no idea that the hayfever would turn me into Darth Vader. I literally suddenly started heavy breathing, as though I was utterly knackered and about to die - THAT heavy!

It felt like I was climbing Mount Everest and suddenly reached an altitude I couldn't cope with! It happened again as I walked past lots of wild garlic (walking on the flat) which is how I coulld prove it wasn't being utterly knackered!

So, now I am stiff as a board, feeling hideous, absolutely mortified (walking with colleagues and a PE teacher to boot) and not having lost a pound AGAIN!

Plus side (when I am less stiff) is that I now have my new boxing bag, so I may end up looking like this

Week 3
I ate no eclairs, snuck in a flake and an ice cream though :p

No change for piggly me!

My pledge of the week: exercise for 30 minutes every day - REALLY!!!!.

bbg200 06-20-2010 05:29 PM

hey everyone im still here (just about) everything has to be put on hold for me at the moment as there is stuff happenin in the family, so i dont think id be finishing with u guys.. yesterday i did race for life 10k :) an raised £300. i want to wish everyone all the best this month, xx p.s yay i finally got my ticker!

hopefulchick 06-23-2010 07:40 AM

Hey Guys,
I'm checking in hoping someone out there can give me a kick up the bum and get me started again :s

I have gotten into a really destructive habit of weighing myself everyday, which is fine when I have lost! Yipee but obviously that doesn't happen everyday. The days where I haven't lost I feel sad and then eat two thick nutella sandwiches as well as my normal breakfast and then two flapjacks on the way to work. Why do I do this when I know its wrong and I am able to give sensible advice to others?!

At the moment I can weigh myself day by day and lose 2 lb then put on 4lb the next day without changing anything in the diet/exercise. If a lb is 3-4000 calories I KNOW I didn;t eat an extra 16000 calories overnight so I don't know why I let it get to me so much :(

Sorry for the rant. Just getting close to where I wanted to be is driving me nuts especially after looking at old school photos this week. All through school I weighed 187-193lbs so this has been a big change from those times.

Hope you're all staying strong! x

ps BBG was the 10k horrible? my brother signed me up for one in July . . . not looking forward to it!

Starbuck 06-23-2010 02:13 PM

I have started weighing myself every day too, but I find that it really helps me. If i've lost even slightly I'm super psyched and don't want to blow it, but am realistic that everyday fluctuations will happen and if I put on I just think gotta keep at it.
If it's causing you a problem though, just try and go back to once a week (easier said than done I know)
Don't worry you'll get there.

it was lovely :) u have a choice of running jogging or walking (if your doing race for life), take ur time and enjoy every moment because your doing something special. i finished it under 2hrs (walked/jogged with my cousin she just had a baby girl so had to take it easy) the best part is dressing up .. an i got snapped in the papers an on the radio web site! x

kalijack 06-25-2010 09:35 AM
