weigh in report

Hi everyone

sorry I have been MIA for the past week or so I just seem to have had no time to myself. work has been mad busy all I seem to have done is eat sleep cook clean and work with the odd rush to the gym.
I have just started a new strength training program there which is designed to work on specific muscles. a lot of the exercises I am now doing are just the same as the old ones but I now do less repetitions but do them slower. When my trainer told me to do less I thought he was mad, I just presumed that my muscles would have already built up and would be used to what I was doing before and that doing less would be no use at all....how wrong I was, the day after my first session I couldn't move...it was definitely a case of put my toothbrush on the work top and move my head from side to side over it because my arms were just too sore to lift them up as far as my mouth
The exercises are obviously still working well last week I saw another 2 1/2 inches lost tho my weight stayed static. This week there was another 2 1/2 inches lost and the scales also showed a loss of 4lbs so I feel great.:)
As you all know by now, one of my biggest goals was to be able to fit into leather jeans. I have been eyeing up my hubbies leather bike jeans since I started this journey. a month ago I bit the bullet and tried to get into them...no chance, I couldn't drag them up any further than my knees... Well after such good inch losses over the past couple of weeks I decided to try again and see how much closer I was to finally getting into them....they just slid on ...not only did they slide on, they are too baggy around the waist now. not that I would ever have been able to wear them anyway, hubby is 6ft 2 and I am only 5ft 6 but it was just an amazing feeling to finally be able to get into them :)
To say I am on a high this week would be an understatement I am just so focused now and so motivated. my final goal is so close now. I really do have to keep pinching myself to believe this is not a dream.
Hope you are all hanging in there and looking forward to the weekend.
Have a good one

NO weightloss to report this week. it is yet another static weight...I should be grateful for that at least TOM made its appearance and the jeans I wore comfortably yesterday are cutting me in half today so I was surprised that I hadn't gained anything.
I'm still feeling good and positive and looking forward to next week :)

Well done Veggie - we knew you could do it.

Can you send some of that new found will power over to me - I am going to get back into this tomorrow - I even have the breakfast and lunch planned - just need to organise what we are having for dinner

It is time I made time for me again and this is something I really want to do, so I'm just going to start doing it again.

Keep it going Veggie.

Hi girls
Sorry I have been MIA for so long, but I don't seem to have missed much here, where has everyone gone?

I've had not too bad a time over the past couple of weeks well the week before last TOM made a surprise appearance after only 9 days and I gained a pound, but I still lost another 2 inches so I wasn't too depressed about it and last week I lost another 2 lbs so I was very happy with that .

I am just back from a session at the gym and a long long chat with my personal trainer.
I said right at the start of this journey that I was setting my target weight at 10 stone 2 lbs because that was what was recommended from all the slimming magazines and the club I attended years ago, but that I would not go that far if I didn't think I needed to just because someone somewhere said that is what I should weigh for my height.
The one thing my trainer pointed out was that these weights recommended by the magazines and clubs only go off your height, they do not take into account muscle mass and tone and as we all know muscle weighs more than fat so you could look really good but be heavier than the charts say you should be. Well on his recommendation I have readjusted my final goal to 11 stone because he really does think that will be enough. Something in the back of my mind keeps telling me that it wont be enough and I think it is probably pshycological because of the recommended weight, but we have reached a compromise...I am now setting 11 stone as my final target, but when I reach that we will look at it again and if I am not happy then I can lose a little more, but I will definitely take his advice when I get there because I don't think my own feelings would be unbiased, I am sure I will always think I look fatter than I am and his opinion will be totally neutral. I am already getting people telling me that I have done great but that I should stop now because I am looking too thin...lol
I know that isn't true yet, but I can understand why they would be saying it...some people it will be jealousy, but others it will be because they remember what I looked like before, when they saw me then, they saw my size first and then my face...now they see my face first and that does look a whole lot different than it did before. I will defintely have to rely on the opinions of people I trust when I reach that 11 stone target because I really don't want to make the mistake of going too far.

Hope everyone is hanging in there, I'm off to catch up on all the posts I have missed while I've been away :)

My weight is maintaining at a steady 16 stone 4lbs. Have been there for the last 2 weeks - at the moment I am looking at it as 'at least I haven't gained any more' but after my camping trip next week the gloves are off and I will see a dip in my weight - no matter how small - when I next weigh in, in a fortnight.
