I've got to wait a year.... what happened was that after my hysterectomy I had a series of infections and each time they would cut me back open, leave the wound to drain and then a couple of weeks later sew me back up again - this happened three times. THEN the final time they put me on really strong antibiotics in advance so I didn't get the infection and all seemed to go well.
Then, being clever, 8 weeks after the first operation I figured I was fit enough to help out round the house by cooking a meal(should have left it to 8 weeks after the final sewing up). All I did was just lift my arm slightly to reach a little jar of herbs and there was this awful searing pain and the next thing I know I was in hospital yet again. Kevin had come home and found me in a heap on the floor. Basically the muscle that had been cut so many times had just sort of pulled apart and shredded - and it then refused to heal no matter how much rest I had. After six months of it not healing they told me that it probably wouldn't heal at all and I was going to be stuck with the pain so they gave me injections to temporarily kill the nerves around the muscle so I don't feel any pain at all. I have got an appointment to go back in July by which time it should be sort of coming back to life and if it still hurts I will have to have an operation to permanently cut the nerves. So - right now I have no control over my belly muscles at all - in fact I don't even know that it is there! |
wish i didnt know mines was there......DH being a man noticed that the weight is leaving my boobs and asked me if i could no transfer it from my " lump" to my boobs:mad:

Sounds like he is thoughtful, kind and considerate like Kevin!
He says the weightloss is making me look old! Lovely!! |
I try not to think about what I look like eg : saggy , flabby bits etc. I am just trying to lose the weight and I will keep covered up at all times even when slim :( :o

Oh no!! I'm not going through all this just to keep it all hidden! When I have got it, I'm going to flaunt it - but appropriately for my age!!!! (Whatever that might be..)

You do right Sarah!!
There are parts of me that will never have to see daylight I fear  |
Pain in the butt
Sarah - it sounds like that pain is Sciatica. I remember getting it when pregnant and it goes from the lower spine to below the knee and is not nice!!
It stems - so I'm told - from something either pinching or sitting on the nerve which comes from the spine and out through the bones of the spinal column (where it can get pinched) and then goes down the back of the leg. I hope it goes away very very soon for you. Flumper, no one can look so bad that the dog won't drag it home. I still laugh at the cartoon of the two dogs who were watching a rubbish removal truck going off down the street. It obviously was fairly smelly - there were funny lines coming off the truck to indicate blurky smells. One dog turned to the other and said "I'll never understand humans - as soon as it smells good, they throw it out!" That just about describes my work out sessions. I never look as good as Richard Simmons people. Still he has made plenty of money out of looking like a lycra layabout so who am I to chuck off at him. Have a good week Joy |
My exercise is almost non existant at the moment. I walked loads at the weekend but have not found the time since I got back. I'm off to Northumberland for a few days next week so I'll step up the walk again there and plan on getting back to working out when I come back. I need to get back to it

Exercise :?: bit of an alien concept to me right now
|
Oh, BPB, you sound sooooooo down in the dumps (I have just come here from the Weigh In thread where you sounded 'down' as well)! Have you tried slurping some Rescue Remedy???
Is it that you don't get time for exercise, just plain don't like it - or can't be bothered? If its the last two then perhaps you haven't found the right sort of exercise for you. Melissa (Delaney) always hated exercise until she found dancing - now she's doing a couple of hour long classes a week! If its the first one, then I can't really help you.... except that I can remember seeing someone else's post a while back that it helped them to think of the time she spent exercising as sort of 'special personal time' for herself. |
Have to admit that the RR has been a bit lacking lately. I think a lot of it has to do with the work I am doing at the moment - working with a couple of not very nice people and I guess that as soon as I get in, I just want to lounge around as my reward for not "losing it" at work. I think I just need to get in, have a cuppa, watch Family Affairs and then do my video and make it a habit/routine.
Thanks for the support guys - at least I am still posting :D wonder if I have managed to post doom and gloom on every thread going  |
BPF get on that trampoline!!!!!!!!
|
Ooooohhhhhhh! BPB - you'd better get bouncing !!!!!    Think I had better as well....... :dizzy: :dizzy:
|
BPB - we are all going to get to feel like you at some point along this road and we r here to help you just like you will be here to help us when it is our turn on the slide. Keep posting, keep at it and don't let the nasties at work stop you from getting what you want.
Rather than aiming for being perfect, just aim to be a little bettertoday than you were yesterday!! |
