Default 11 Simple Diet Tips

I hope many girls (and boys, too!) will be benefits in this tips!

1) Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Drinking eight glasses of water is almost like a must. And do not forget to drink water in the morning, the moment you wake up. In fact this is one of the most rapid weight loss tips that the dieticians suggest to the people.

2) Have organic foods for the breakfast like apples, bananas, plain yogurt, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, raw honey, wild smoked salmon, and so on.

3) Keeping a track on the watch, go for an hour walk. It need not be power walking, but definitely it should be non-stop walk and that’s for sure, in a couple of days only, you’ll start finding the difference in you.

4) Another tip regarding how to lose weight fast, easy and safe is that you should have your dinner about 4-5 hours before going off to sleep.

5) The two-point program that will ensure the ultimate success is: regular exercise and balanced diet.

6) Don’t depend upon fat burning diet supplements. They wont go a long way in helping you sustain your reduced kilos.

7) Soft drinks cannot benefit you in any way. They contain 150 empty calories, so if you substitute one bottle of soft drink with water each day, it will do wonders for you. It will enable you to lose about 16 lbs per year.

8) Sometimes boredom becomes a cause of overeating, so keep yourself busy.

9) If you want to seriously control your weight, then you have to stop yourself from getting lured into trying tempting foods.

10) As important is to pay attention to the fact that we eat the right food, equally vital is to keep a watch on the quantity. Without altering your diet plan, even if you’ll reduce 5-10% of your consumption, it will prove beneficial.

11) Eat slowly so that you can get a feeling that you have had enough food and your tummy is full. Eat slowly and fully relish the taste.

On No 7, I didn't realise til recently but 'diet' drinks are bad for your teeth too, just as much as the sugar versions - as they still cause acid erosion. There was a woman on 'Extreme Makeover UK' recently who didn't have a single tooth left in her head as she had a 20 odd year habit of drinking DIET cola. LOL Never worried me as I don;t drink the diet or the sugar varieties but I thought it was interesting!

so why do you think you have to eat dinner 4-5 hours before going to sleep? i've heard (and read on this site) that it doesn't matter what time you eat. it's more about total calories eaten verses total calories burned throughout the day.

i typically eat a snack or two after dinner before bed. i plan for it within my diet plan, and it hasn't stopped me from losing weight.

Hi, some really good stuff on that list but also some complete diet myths! LOL IMHO of course

It doesn't matter when you eat, calories is calories. Think this goes back to the idea that you are less likely to be active later in the day but seriously, it absolutely makes no difference if you eat late at night. That said try and make sure your breakfast is a good one so that it kickstarts your metabolism

Organic foods don't make a diddly squat of difference to weight loss. Yeah they might be beneficial to your health but a calorie is a calorie is a calorie - whether it comes from a biscuit or an organic free range egg, you're always looking at using more calories than you are consuming = being in calorie deficit = weight loss

Walking is good but so are loads of other exercises. And if you can only manage 15 minutes don't worry, any exercise is better than no exercise at all, it doesn't have to be non stop hours worth of exercise. In fact there is a lot of evidence that says higher intensity shorter duration activities are really good for muscle growth and weight loss. However, any exercise is good and walking is a great way to do it

Re the tempting foods - I completely disagree with you there. I think a well balanced diet should allow you to have some of the things you crave, in moderation. When we deny ourselves all those yummy calorfic treats then we set ourselves up to fail eventually. I really believe you can eat anything you want in moderation. In fact I regularly have free days where I eat whatever I want. It means I never feel hard done by because I know that I can encompass any food I want to eat into my diet.

And lastly quantity. I eat loads. I mean seriously I eat lots and lots of food and I am never hungry. But I make sure I eat good stuff and I calorie count - I use thedailyplate.com and this has been instrumental in having a far healthier attitude to 'dieting' and what I am consuming.

I've managed to lose 17lbs following the things above as well as other things and I can honestly say I am loving it.
