Hey guys, i was thinking about how i have been dieting for about 2 years now, and i have learned alot on this long old trip, mind you im not there yet and i dont think i will ever know EVERYTHING about dieting, but i was thinking we could share a couple of tips we have found that work, advice and lessons from bad advice maybe??
so advice i was given that was bad:
you can eat anything in moderation. Why it was bad for me was because i cant say no, and i cant stop myself from having any more, or giving in at other times. im a dieter who has to go cold turkey to really see the effects. A treat every now and then is ok but i think letting myself have one thing always snowballs.
you will loose weight after you have had your TOM: bad for me because i have such irregualr, confusing periods, i often find that i will gain a couple of pounds that will stick with me up to 2 weeks afterwards, its very discouarging to think its def gonna go then it doesnt for a bit.
best advice given: set small attainable goals. think short term, not long term.
look at the good you have done, how far you have come and not about times when you have struggled, just about how you over came it andgot through it.
hot food fills you up more: in my case very true! i will always prfer a lunch like soup or a boiled egg in a salad yum.
oh and i must make a special mention for the wonders of tea. A natural dieretic, anti-toxant, and aslong as u dont have sugar and only skimmed milk a good source of a caffine push if you are really flagging and just want a bar of choc for the sugar rush!
i think of these all the time so i may add some more.
but it would be great to see what you guys have come up with :-D have a good evening everyone!
