Default Fathers Day -What are you getting Dad?

Some people find it hard to think what to get their dad.

Mine is not bad. He loves fudge. Big time. I got him some white wine and some fudge. He will be a very happy boy on the day.

What are you getting your dad?

My dad and father-in-law are helping us move on Saturday! What a gift...they get to move our furniture!

But, you mentioned fudge and it got me thinking. Maybe I will make a peanut butter pie for my dad and take it over to him this week before we move. He would be pretty happy with that!

I'm getting my dad stuff from the Harley Davidson dealership around the corner.

He's one of those that bought a Harley when he retired, but he's not "cool enough" to ride it. So he just goes out once in a while and polishes it, talks to it, pets it... goes back inside. It's pretty funny. But he does love collecting Harley stuff all the same - so that's my plan!

My dad has been wanting to get some really nice family portraites done. Not studio style, but outside. Kinda like wedding photos I guess. So I got him a gift certificate for session with a really great photographer. Next time my brother is back in town were going to have our photos taken!

I got my Dad a subscription to Men's Health Magazine. He's a health nut, so I think he'll love it. The best part is that I can renew it every year and I don't have to worry about what to buy the man that has everything anymore!

I have NO idea! I need gifts for my step dad and dad and it was my stepdads bday last weekend so it was hard enough thinking of what to get then, and I'm not close with my dad. Eeeek!

This thread caught my eye becuz I have been wracking my brain trying to think of something for my father. We live far apart, but he'll be here for this Father's Day. Like someone else mentioned, my Dad has everything and wants for nothing (even has multiples of things). I am at a loss what to get him, so I'll start with a card ... the only thing that seems to make him smile is a Canadian Tire Gift Card, which we got him for both his birthday and Christmas.

I'd really like to get him something different; but I can't go by hobbies as his are looking after his properties (and cottages). He won't stop working becuz he said he'd die of boredom, which I understand. He's not into sports or motorcycles; and he's a bit of a fuss pot when it comes to gifts. We may just resort to taking him and my step-mother out to dinner in the new Chinese Restaurant that opened up here.

PS ~ I will be keeping my eye in on here to see what ideas you ladies have for your dads; that may help a bit ...
