Default I'm new - just popped in to say 'hello'

Hi everyone!

I've just joined. This looks like a really good site. I've been trying to get going on losing weight now since the beginning of the year and all that's happening is that the weight is going on. But I'm determined to get going now.

It's almost 2am here so I really must go to bed. But when I get up it will be day one and I will, stick to my calories, eat 5 portions of fruit and veg, drink lots of water and do some exercise.

It all seems easy now but I'm sure by tomorrow afternoon I'll start struggling.

I'm hoping that with there being so many posts and blogs on here that when I do start thinking about eating junk food that I'll remember to come on here and browse some posts and get remotivated.

Good luck to everyone else....anyone else starting on 3rd May?

Thanks very much. There is so much on this site that I'll think it will really help me.

I'm sure this is a very boring question that everyone asks when they join, but how did you get your weight measure/ruler thingy?

Thanks

Heya Elaine, welcome to 3FC. Don't worry, you won't struggle so soon, just make sure you stay positive and fill yourself up with veg and fiber!

Since I've joined I haven't gut upset about my 'slips' because I feel motivated, inspired and mostly...not alone.

Best of luck and your weight tracker can only be added to your signature after 30 days of joining and 30 posts. There's more info in your user CP at the top of the page

Welcome Elaine. I started my weightloss journey on the Bank Holiday weekend one year ago. So just so you know what is possible if you stick with it I will tell you that as of my weigh-in this morning I have lost a total of 80lb. Four more lb and it will be 6 stone in just one year. I've still got a way to go, want to lose another 3 stone but hey, I'm two-thirds of the way already.

See you around.

Thanks Kitty and Spoz

6 stone is fantastic!! Oh, if I could weigh 6 stone less. Have you managed that by just using this site or have you used other sites?

I have been under medical supervision and visit my dr. montly. Other than seeing her and this site I have no other support.

Default HI Newbie

HI Lainie and welcome.

I see you are from Hampshire? The rest of my family are living there- near Beaulieu. I am a Londoner myself though.

Hello, i'm also new. I think the idea of getting some support online is a really good one. Go for it with the fruit and veg! My trouble is I eat lots of them, but lots of everything else too. Best of luck.
