I am not really sure, what to say as I don't watch tv here (can't afford the license) and never heard of his style advice before)

I know he probably sounds crude in there but isn't all stylists a bit weird? I mean, they are a bit cranky sometimes. I know he sounded harsh but from what I read none of the models said to him "Mr Gok, please you make me feel bad and if you don't stop I will leave". I mean if that was done, he did not show any will to stop, then yeah he would be quite a jerk. Also it is very convenient for her to take the opportunity to talk bad about him and then announce she will open her own modeling agency.

It kinda reminds me of one of my mum's ex-employees that started a fight out of the blue with my mum, said she is quiting and a week later she opened a jewelery shop on her own. Aha, yeah right.
