Can I be in the class or do I have to stay in the corridor??????
I think the thread is a great idea too it is wonderful to see all those stats and see how people are shrinking week by week. We will all have times when we need picking up.......I hope you are all strong as I need a lot of help when I fall down:p
Well done to all this weeks losers and well done to everyone else for sticking at it, we are getting there!!

HI everyone

the thread has to stay :)
I only didn't post my weight sooner because I was away for the weekend at the wedding, but last week was another good one for me I lost another 2lbs again.

I'll post about my weekend at the wedding on our other thread :)

Late post sorry!

I haven't lost anything this week!

I am sorry if the info I posted was a bit OTT. As I tried to explain I write this stuff daily and am keenly interested in trying to find ways that those of us with weight problems can get effective help or learn how to help ourselves. I don't have the answers, obviously, but always hope that I will read or write something that will motivate me or somone else to change lifelong eating and exercise habits for our own benfits.

Like I said take me to task if I overdo the lectury bit! I know that it takes time for me to get to know my own clients over the net. So with a forum like this I won't get to know everybody and only hope that I don't offend too many and give some inspiration to others.

I'll shut up now! Stef

I love this thread I pop in and see how everyone's doing every day. Well done to this weeks losers and commiserations to anyone whose gained.

Sarah I can't find my origianl posting with stats on but I was 18.4 on Jan 2nd and today I am 17.8 - I thought I would be more pleased than I am, any loss is good, but I feel like I've been working really hard this week and 1lb doesn't look like much. STILL I am determined to continue and be thin and gorgeous sometime in the next decade!!!

Smiling Sal 02-05-2002 07:54 AM

Melissa, I'm sure you're gorgorous already, it's just the thin bit you want to work on.

Well done on being down 10lbs

Carol

Well tonight was the dreaded weigh in and I gained 3lbs - 3lbs - Yes I know I over ate when fighting that bug, but seeing it on the scale, well it puts it all in to perspective. Right thats that done, time to move on ;)

One good thing, when I worked out my body fat it came in at 90lbs, 2lbs less than last week, so maybe I haven't gained 3lbs of ugly flab, but a little fat, a lot of water & some muscle that will hopefully start earning it's living soon & boost my metabolism & burn some cals.

I'm off to find my stats from last week & add my BMI to it - noticed Sarah did that on her's yesterday, a good way to keep me focused.

Found it

Starting weight - 16st 8lbs
Current weight - 15st 12lbs
Target weight - 10st 7lbs
Loss/Gain this week - +3 (whoops)
Total loss so far - 10
Remainder to be lost - 5st 5lb
BMI = 36.9 - severely obese

Smiling Sal - sorry to hear about the gain - but I am sure you will dust yourself down :D

OK - has anyone had any experience of lithium scales? Just had a look in the Argos catalogue, as need to buy some scales tomorrow.

tupperware queen 02-06-2002 04:25 PM

sal sorry to hear about the gain but just think about next weeks loss...it will be there!!

bpb- never heard of those scales but Argos are quite good at taking these things back so give em a whirl.

SW 1st weigh in

Hi all

Well so far I can recommend the SW diet. I lost 2.1/2lbs by saving all my sins and using them over 2 days mostly on booze, so It can be done. I think the reason the loss wasn't bigger is because since Xmas I have been playing around with one diet or another so its not exactly my first week. However, at no time have I been hungry and on many days not had my full allowance, so anyone who is thinking about going down the SW road, go for it, I wish I had done so weeks ago!!;)

I haven't really felt like I have been on a diet, but, and I have to stress that I couldn't have done it without all the help I have had from the boards, in particular 3FC - Thanks everyone

I look forward to another week!!

Jano
