Default Another Saturday Night............

..........without any wine........but I must confess to a small glass of Sheridans. Wine is one of my many downfalls, especially at weekends, I am just trying to get out of the habit of drinking wine, by the bottle. Dave (my husband) doesn't drink it so a bottle opened is a bottle emptied, by me, no willpower for just one glass. I am trying to get out of the habit of drinking wine at home, we never go out as we don't have a babysitter. This is only the second weekend I don't think the habit to get out of it will be as easy as getting into it
So how have you all done? I don't find Sunday as hard so lets hope it's a good 'un

Default Booze

Hi, I sympathise with you..I too love Red Wine ( or white) and it is not unknown for hubby and I to drink a bottle each on a weekend night. In the week I drink scotch and although I have no intentions of cutting it out I am going to go back to pub measures instead of "Janny" measures.

I have allowed, within my schedule of WW for 2 points worth of treats per day in the week and that is just 2 scotches (pub measures of course).

I can only try - I hope I will get used to this. Over the weekend, some of my extra allowance will be used by with wine.

Last night we went out for a special meal for my friend's and my birthday - the meal was surperb costing £50.00 each (including wine, we had 2 bottles between 3 of us, ad very nice it was too). This is the kind of thing I have to work into my plan - its not easy.

Saturday nights where meant for boozing. It is going to take me a long time to get out of the habit on a Saturday night.

Yesterday I cut my points down dramatically during the day to leave me enough to have a few vodkas in the evening. We often drink wine of an evening during the week, but I managed to pass on that most of last week but it was hard.

This habit is going to be one of the worst to break. Lets hope my will power keeps the bottles shut this week.

I agree... I do love my chocolate but I love my wine more..only thing is when I drink, I want to eat too, they go hand in hand....so you not only have to save points for booze you have to save for a little extra food.... how do you work all of yours in. I also think that points used up on booze may be leaving you short on points for food, if you get my drift.

this is the place we went to last night
www.oldvicarageworfield.com for anyone who is interested.

Looked at WW website, will order Buddy on Monday- Thabnks for that. OMG it's Burns Night soon!!!!

Wine...I LOVE WINE can not resist it but should probably stop drinking it as can not stop at a glass or two I drank so much last night feel very guilty now as I had a couple of wine nights during the week as well maybe I will have to make the ultimate sacrifice and give up drinking to lose weight!!!!

A horrible thought...maybe we should post our alcohol intake up daily that would shame me for one!

I don't think I can give up altogether!!!!! I am just trying not to drink so much at home and only drink when someone else can share the bottle with me. At the moment I can't afford the calories I would be too hungry to have 900 for food and 600 for a bottle of wine, plus I don't think it would be very good for me!!I am trying to limit wine to eating out/ socialising....now as we seldom go out that aint going to be such a problem, but can I stick to it?????

I can't afford all the points I spend on alcohol. We tend to drink a 1.5 litre bottle of wine between us a night - oh my god - did I really admit to that.

But last week we only had one wine night and a few vodkas on Sat. So I'm going to do the same again. I'm going out for an Indian on Wed so that's a good time to have a few glasses of wine. Got to drive at 8am next morning so I can't over do it. Then nothing to Saturday. This is going to be hard - but we can do it together.

I will need to stock up on diet pepsi - think it's a habit now I just need to drink something in the evenings.

Just got a little vodka to finish - will do that tonight - hope that's not cheating.

1.5 litre bottle per night... hmm its easily done once you get the taste.

I've completed (almost) my first day counting WW points and I have gone over a little. I've eaten well though so I don't think I will go to bed hungry. I may have a drink later as I'm not expecting too much this week. It is my birthday on Thursday and we are going out for a Chinese, add that to what I ate last night and the fact that friends are coming for dinner on Saturday night, you can see what I mean.

I think, (I hope) that next week will be better, at the moment I have a clear run. You have to learn to live with these things don't you, they are what life is about

Crikey, I feel like I'm really sad and boring now . I hardly ever drink, apart from xmas/new year/my birthday. Mind you, I overdid it @ the office xmas party with the red wine so I was probably making up for lost time

Think I'll save myself for my 40th in March

That restaurant looks really nice Jano; not too far from me either - I live about 5 miles from Chester - hmmm, £50 though?? Wonder if dh can stretch to it for my birthday - better hadn't get dizzy: on red wine there, had I ?

Take care everyone
