Haha! No wonder Miche's hubby is off to his mum's. It is safe there and no strange woman eating chocolate in the nude!!! Sounds like you had a good time Miche!

Cat90 - I don't get someone screaming in my earhole (apart from school kids on an escalator) but I hate in theatres - I get someone who claps really loudly in my ear. They do it just for effect. Swines!

I made it onto tv, lurking in the background of an interview with some of our team, and just generally in the background of various celeb interviews at the start. We went pretty slowly, so my legs feel like they want to go out and run again, I'm used to doing long runs at the weekend (and yes, it's worrying that 13 miles doesn't class as long in my brain!)

I seem to have spent most of the day since the run stuck in traffic, so I think I need to go and eat something else before bed. Or that's my excuse ;)

Well done you both. :D

Oh look Peacock has started a new thread (ok I moved the posts just to confuse her). :p :D

peacock 2 10-02-2007 09:29 AM

It took a long time to remember it was a new month! I wondered how I managed to remember!!! Actually the 1st of the month I am usually concerned as my rent goes out then! That's all I can think about!!!

BritinNJ 10-02-2007 02:01 PM

You're good at confusing us with moving threads Veggie :) Hope you're on the mend now luvey

Well I've worked out this morning and it felt great! We can't work out while at work now.... so I either have to go in on my days off, or earlier than my shift although that doesn't usually work as as soon as I walk in the place, someone wants me to do something to help them out...

I start a new six week prog at the end of Oct, I am going to be very good leading up to it though, and super good on it and see if I can shift as much lard as last time. Be nice to buy something new for Christmas :)

Hope you're all well, more later, washing needs doing and floors need scrubbing.

YP1 10-02-2007 04:14 PM

I've just got back from playing netball with work, then diving into deep fried carb heaven - onion rings, chips, potato wedges, nachos and pizza. I tried to cycle vigourously on the way home to make up for it ;)

peacock 2 10-03-2007 11:51 AM

Well I brought in some cakes cos most of my lot at work are not goig to be in on Friday. Damn that banoffee pie! And the tiramisu, oh and the eclairs too! I took some down to admin and now they have suggested I have a 'do' down there tomorrow!!! There will be drinkies apparently. I am off tonight with the lot from work to a pub - it'll be weird going into one with no fag fumes now (thankfully!). After i come back from mum's next week I shall be on the cottage cheese again - (wow, cannot wait!)

I am wondering how to take all my stuff back to my flat that I used to have in my office! All those CD's!, 3 plants, a few books and 3 cuddly toys!

micheleherts 10-03-2007 05:47 PM

Hello everyone

Blimey I'm tired and feel very fat and bloated.

All quiet here the boys are in the garden asleep. The pair of eejits are in the tent. The big fella is going night fishing Saturday and wants to see how warm the bivvy is. The little fella is out there with him unable to believe that the big fella wants to spend time with him.

I went walking this evening when I got back my brother was here with his bag of washing. He is a builder and is obsessed by Hollyoaks.

I spoke to0 soon trouble in the tent the little fella has been held hostage by the big fella he reckons. I must say goodnight and go out with the torch and threaten the big fella with all sorts of terrible things.

Goodnight godbless

Michele

redsoxgirl 10-03-2007 07:32 PM

Michelle I always used to try and sleep in our backyard in a "fort." My parents would leave the door open because usually I would get bitten by mosquitoes and come in. I don't think I ever slept out there the whole night.

Helen your food last night sounds yummy.

Chris good luck with getting ready for your new program.

My half marathon is this Sunday, it's going to be warm but since it starts at 8 I think we'll be ok. The Red Sox play at 3 so there will be some celebratory drinking and eating going on provided I am not hospitalized for collapsing during the race!!!! I did my 10 miles last Sunday but thats the farthest I've run, I'm not feeling very prepared. I did 4 last night, did weights today and walked. I'm planning to run 6 on Friday, weights Saturday and I guess thats it. As long as I finish in once piece I'll be happy.

YAY huge Red Sox home run!!!!! I love baseball bonus is I made $40 renting out my parking spot to some guy going to the game.

Ok I'm rambling, have a great night all.

cat90 10-04-2007 11:37 PM

Hi Girls

Well not only am I knackered from the early mornings but the new J.O.B is thwarting my diet plans as well  because we get FED!!! :yikes: I know, I know :nono: I don't need to eat but when its free ?? you gotta  right? ;) we have access to the gym and the last couple of days i've said that i'll go in there after work :) but do you think I do? by the time we've finished all I want to do is veg :lol3: i'll give it a couple of weeks but if I don't adjust i'll have to look for something else :dunno: its no fun walking around like a zombie :tired:

veggie 10-05-2007 02:47 PM

cat90 10-05-2007 04:36 PM

Been in Hospital and come out knackered  how does that work :?: were'nt looking after you proper or what? Hope you're feeling better soon Veggie

Looking at jobs and there is a full time one in the paper 8.30- 4.30 and they PICK YOU UP!!! :yikes: they're offering a $750 signing bonus as well :D more money too :carrot: its an employees market at the moment but I like it where I am :dizzy: apart from getting up in the middle of the night :lol3: what to do, what to do  still not been to that damn gym

BritinNJ 10-05-2007 08:28 PM

I'm knackered too! What's with some words, being underlined or in green?

I've been a busy bee today, pulled furniture out and cleaned from underneath, found a whole herd of pistacio shells... courtesey of hubs :) Surprised we haven't had mice.

Veggie, hope you're on the mend luv

Cat, sorry to hear you're knackered with work, the other job sounds nicer, especially with a sign on bonus.

Hi CG... talk at the weekend?

I think hubs and I are going to wander around the local Oktoberfest tomorrow, he can drink some beer and I'll enjoy the craft stalls... it's supposed to be heavenly out, summer weather, HOT!

See you over the weekend

YP1 10-06-2007 02:49 AM

Hope you feel better Veggie.

Frus is still out there... somewhere! Amsterdam in two weeks, so I'll be seeing her then.

redsoxgirl 10-06-2007 09:32 AM

So I carbloaded for the half last night, but I did it on beer, I don't really think that was supposed to be the plan, but it was a warm night at Fenway, very hard to resist.

Also skipped my morning workout today, but I'm not real concerned about that.

Feel better Veggie.

My cable is not working, I've decided it's kind of scary how much I have the TV on, now that I can't use it. Not the best timing with playoff baseball but they are coming on Tuesday.

I think I may go to the beach today, if it's this hot tomorrow I'll this run will not be fun.

cat90 10-06-2007 07:08 PM

Hi Everyone

Well, i've been a right lazy :moo: today  its nearly 4 and i'm still in my nighty :yikes: had a lie in until 6AM  think that was due to the volume of Bud I had last night  I think i'll apply for that other job as they pay travel time as well :D I saw another one today for an assistant in a wine (homebrew) store working tues through friday so I would'nt mind that either  same wage as i'm getting now only I won't have to get up so early :D I'll feel rotten handing in my notice already because they are really nice girls and I like working with them :( I'm a really eejit (as Michele would say  ) to myself in that respect because i'm dead loyal and will keep doing something out of loyalty rather than trying to do better for myself :nono: I was talking to Val about medical and she told me not to get any benefits that I don't need because nearly all of my wage will go in contributions :( she said she'd made the mistake of doing that and it took them months to rectify it  she told the boss that she'd have to leave if they did'nt sort it out soon because she was working for practically nothing and the boss said "so leave then" :fr: I can't believe he said that because they can't get staff  hubby said " *uck them!! they don't sound like they care about their staff so why worry about quitting" he's right I suppose but i'm soft :dunno: I suppose i'd better have a shower and do something :kickcan: Have a Great Weekend

2frustrated 10-07-2007 03:29 AM

I'm here, not really doing too much. Spending plenty of money though! I'm off out shopping again today and visiting a friend with a 3-month-old

redsoxgirl 10-07-2007 07:14 AM

I'm off to attempt the half, hopefully I'll check back in later. Then 3:00 Sox game, burgers and beer!!!

YP1 10-07-2007 10:58 AM

Good luck!

redsoxgirl 10-07-2007 11:21 AM

Thanks...

2:26, not speedy but I felt great.

Relaxing for a bit then hitting the bar for the Sox, and it's a holiday tomorrow so no school!!

Things are kind of perfect right now!!

veggie 10-07-2007 01:03 PM

:cp: Well done Redsoxgirl. :cp:

2frustrated 10-08-2007 04:04 AM

:yay: Well done RSG - that's faster than my first half mara, by 10 minutes (I think....) And we just did the GNR in 3:16

I am looking forward to carb-loading for my marathon! :T

I'm off to the gym tonight since I seem to be overwhelmed with super-crafty personal projects that I need to do at work!

redsoxgirl 10-08-2007 07:46 AM

Thanks Ladies

The weather was absolutely perfect, cool, cloudy and then sort of misty. The run out was hilly, but back was almost all downhill. It was right by my apartment so I'm very familiar with all of the roads (hills etc) which helped.

After I had a huge cheeseburger fries and an ice cream. Then had a few beers and just for kicks I jumped on the scale today and it was nice and low. Maybe I'll run another one now :)

Oh well Red Sox won, rainy day off so I'm about to pop in the movie Knocked Up before I go run errands.

veggie 10-08-2007 09:32 AM

Oh good Frus is here I thought she'd disappeared. :( I may be too miserable to post but everyone else most continue to do so. :p

Just rung the docs and computers down again so no scan results (they were down last week when I last checked on pcos scan results). I can't be bothered going to the docs and handing in discharge letter from hospital it too far. :o

YP1 10-08-2007 04:20 PM

Well done RSG!

Veggie - I hope you get your results soon.

kn1ghtbabe 10-10-2007 05:00 AM

Good morning all. Anyone want a dulux dog? I decided to sweep and clean the floors this morning (don't get me wrong it does happen regularly). I've swept up enough fur today to make another dog! And I've still got one room to do, might be able to make yet another dog after I've done that. Best get it done and then go do some exercise. Hope your all having a good day.

cat90 10-12-2007 06:07 PM

Aawwwww Poor Doggy   my brother had one of them once :yikes: so I know what you're going through :kickcan:

Weekend again :D and its beautiful :sunny: oooh a woodpecker just landed on my deck and he's looking in my window at me  I just waved at him because sometimes birds fly into the window and knock themselves out :( or even kill themselves :fr: poor things. They think that they can fly through when the blinds are open and they can see sky on the other side :dizzy:

Just making Roast Beef dinner then i'm off to drink some cold ones

Have a great weekend everyone

cat90 10-17-2007 09:57 PM

ooh eck :( whats up? nobody's posted for :coach: FIVE DAYS  well, I am absolutely cream crackered :tired: I really like my job but i'm going to have to pack it in because i'm not a morning person  and feel like death the rest of the day after getting up at that time :dunno: sent off my resume this afternoon for three other jobs so i'll see what happens  i'm not really bothered what I do :kickcan: a jobs a job as far as i'm concerned ;) just settling down for corrie :D we've finally got up to the part where Tracy bumped off Charlie :cheer: :lol3: i'm sad hehe.

YP1 10-18-2007 01:42 AM

I'm still here, but dashing around between work (just been promoted!), St Annes (grandmother's health news not great - she's feeling fine at the moment but they're not execting things to stay that way for long), running club and in between trying to take in the fact that I'm meant to be running two marathons in the next two and a half weeks. I'm reading more than posting these days...

kn1ghtbabe 10-18-2007 05:15 AM

I'm here - been unwell and dealing with a new puppy!

veggie 10-18-2007 08:42 AM

I'm just back from a gig in Liverpool... :D I'm tired now. :tired: I had breakfast in McDonalds! I never ever go in there thankfully it was a food court so I wasn't actually in one. :p

sarahgrace 10-18-2007 01:45 PM

I'm here too, my grandad died the other week which is probably why i'm a bit quiet.

cat90 10-18-2007 08:04 PM

Awwww sorry to hear that sarahgrace

Congrats on the promotion Helen :D

Veggie :nono: STAY OUT OF McD's

Hope you feel better soon KB :)

Had a lazy day today :moo: did some laundry, had a bubble bath then watched a movie this afternoon :D just making dinner then i'll have a couple more beers   TGIF :cheer: (tomorrow) i'm ready for the weekend.
Diet and exercise is none existant :( can't get motivated  hopefully i'll find a job with better hours then I might feel more like doing something :dunno: I hope so

Hello, I'm back from the land of cheese and clogs, Frus is still there recovering from the marathon. I'm also recovering and trying to get my head round why I agreed to run another one so soon after - New York is next weekend :yikes:
