Smile Just to say hi...

Hey there girls, I wanted to introduce myself, as hopefully I'll be posting here in the near future. I'm from Coventry and I am trying really hard to lsoe some weight. I've lost some already, and I am finding that I'm needing a bit of support and encouragement, it's good to meet other people who are already losing too. I've been counting my calories and I've started running, so I'm trying to balance healthy eating with exercise.

My biggest fear is having lots of loose skin after I've finished losing weight, I'm hoping that doesn't happen. My other fear is losing motivation.

Hopefully I'll be hanging around here for a while, and getting to know you.

Helen

Hi Helen nice to meet you im christina from Wigan. Wow you've done fantastic so far with the weight loss, everyone is really lovely here and supportive, i was really down and disheartened last week coz i'd put 1/2 pound on and i don't know how but the guys here kept me going and i'm hoping itll show on the scales this week. Do you follow a specific diet/slimming group?

I'll have to check out that monthly chat thead, its always nice to have something to keep me entertained during the day.

Hi Nina, I'm not following a specific programme, because I've tried slimming world and weightwatchers and always given up on them, I can't really afford to go to any weight loss groups, but I do count my calories and exercise, I find that exercise has helped me alot. I'm lucky in that my friend is training to be a dietician and she's been helping me out with the calorie intakes and all of those sorts of things.

What about you, how have you been losing? It looks like you've been doing well, I'm sure you'll get that 1/2 pound off and be losing again really soon

Well i go to weight watchers,Ste treated me to the season pass that they've started doing so i don't have to pay til september which is great. At the moment i'm not really doing much exercise which i know is really bad and probably why my weight has plateaued since january (not lost a single lb since then lol) but i have a few health problems which do limit what i can do but im going to rejoin total fitness gym next weekend as i get it reduced due to health complications so that should get me back on an even keel. Not sure if i've lost any weight this week as didn't get to go to weigh in with a migraine and problems with a poorly bunny.

Mainly i've just tried to cut out all the rubbish i was eating and i really do find logging on here stops me from slipping from the diet for example tonight i've gone shopping and bought myself some treats and had decided i was having a day off tonight to eat rubbish but i've had a mars ice cream which is within my points allowance and i'm not going to have anything else so big cheers to 3FC!!!!! It's just so difficult just wish someone would wave a wand and get rid of all the cravings for junk food and make me super motivated to exercise lol

I was doing ok until it was revision time. Weight went up a bit but thankfully I'm 2 pound away from what I got down to. Have got back on the strider as well, started back yesterday with it. Struggling a bit as I broke my ankle 18 months ago and exercise kills it. But I've managed 8 mins on the strider yesterday and today so will persevere. off to look at setting up a diet blog.

kn1ghtbabe - I hope your ankle gets better. I broke mine several years ago in two places, have loads of metal in it and was scared of doing too much on it for ages, but now it's absolutely fine with everything I try - including marathon running!

Thanks for the welcome girls. I'm doing ok, although plateauing at the moment I think mainly due to my TOM, and I've had a few family meal, which of course were lovely but its harder then to lose weight. Broken bones sound really painful, I've fortunaly never broken anything.
