Yay Helen, the mouse is gone...thats fab.....I bet you sleep a lot better now.
Glad you enjoyed the concert Mel....haven't been to a concert in ages....but nothing came along that really interested me.... Yeh, shopping in a normal shop is definetely one of my main goals as well...can't wait for that....also fit a pair of boots without having to buy extra wide.....oh well, I kinda adapted my goals a bit....want to get to 17st till my birthday and to 15st till christmas....that should be doable...... |

I do actually like Evans but some of their clothes are a little too frumpy for me - I may be fat but I ain't frumpy! It's much easier shopping for the larger sizes in the U.S. (big surprise). Also Evans is all so expensive, for my budget anyway. And I LOVE clothes - man is that Primark on Peckham High Street calling to me! |
I always found Evans a bit expensive too, and like you say some stuff is frumpy, I ended up in Mark One shopping sometimes, they're pretty cheap and fashionable.
Great news about the interview Moon, when will you know if you got the job? Just eating my lunch and shivering, its really cold in this office today. |
Oh hey Moonchild forgot to mention we have Sky Internet and Cable too - it all came in the mail pretty quickly and the boyfriend was able to get it all up and going within about 5-10 minutes of coming home and finding the package was there! So hopefully that will all go well. :)
Oh - and best of luck on the interview! Hope it goes very well. |
Thanks girls, will let you know if I got the job......I really hope so, this call center is driving me insane.....
I find Evans too expensive too, I go there occasionally if they have a sale on, but don't buy their stuff on the normal prices...I find New Look a lot cheaper and their clothes are a lot nicer too.... Just had my lunch...currybeans on toast topped with some LF cheddar...yumm. Going to make the SW Carbonara last night....it's sooo tasty and my bf likes it too....eventho he puts lots of sweet chilli sauce on top...he doesnt like pasta without any sauce......lol |

Thanks Moonchild, I'll have to try that one out. I joined the gym last night, and went to a step class, I hated every minute of it lol, I think I'm gonna stick to BLT class and street dance, step means you have to be way more co-ordinated than I am :carrot: I need to book in for a introduction to the gym and then I can use the equipment there too. Off to BLT tonight.
Feeling pretty tired, my hubby woke me up with nightmares 3 times in the night, and then I couldn't get back off to sleep. At least work is quiet for the next two weeks. I've recently got loads of spots on my face, well when i say loads I mean four, which is loads for me, its only been in the last couple of weeks, any ideas as to why? I've never had spots before really. Green day today :D |
Oh poor u, I hate nightmares....brrrr. I'm tired as well, but thats probably coming from the boxing last night lol...great that you joined the gym, that will definetely make a difference if you go on a reg. basis. I hate steps too, they do it occasionally as part of the boxing and god does my bum hurt afterwards.....
Hmm, strange about the spots, might be that your body is detoxing, and all the poison that you have had in your body is making its way out....just a wild guess. I'm on red today, going to do one green, one red all week, to see if that gives me a bit of a boost....instead of eating the same food all the time. Going to have a salad with some chicken for lunch and then some home made chicken kebabs for dinner. Also got some wafer thin chicken to munch on if I get hungry in between.... I'm just busy making a blog for my recipes, let u all know when I'm done.... |
Morning ladies!
Haha Moonchild if you can believe it I was thinking about lasagne on my way to work this morning and wondering about a SW-friendly way of making it! Lasagne is one of my specialities - but my special recipe has to be loaded with syns! My poor BF - he is not going to have it again for a long time and I know he loves it! I will try out your recipe - it sounds very easy to make. Sorry to hear about the spots Helen! Maybe it is TOM? That always makes me break out at least! *sigh* Another gray day in London... so SICK of this weather! A little sun and warmth would be most welcome. Rode my bike in to work this morning which was good. Green versus Original (red) days: I might've asked this before but which do you more of? I pretty much stick to green all the time. I think I just like to carboload LOL! What about you guys? OK, might pretend to look busy at work LOL! Have a good day all! :) |
I really should start experimenting more with food, so you writing up your recipies might help. My hubby does most of the cooking so I'll point some ideas in his direction.
I was wondering the same thing with the spots, I'll have to see how it goes, hmm. Let me know if swopping the days around makes much difference, I have lots more red days than green, but I maybe should mix it up a bit more. I read somewhere of a lady losing when she only had green days, so that must work, but I think its important to keep your body guessing. Talking about keeping your body guessing, I was listening to 2 ladys chatting in the gym last night, one had apparently lost loads of weight since she started the exercise classes, she was saying she mixes up her exercise to lots of different types to keep her body guessing, and that's what helps her to lose weight. I thought that'd be a good thing to remember for the future. I'm hoping for a loss this week, big or small I don't mind as long as the scale is going down. |
Oops Mel posted while I was.
The interesting thing with the spots is that they came with TOM and never left, and more have come since :( oh well I guess they'll go eventually. I have always had more red days, I found that helped me at first to lose, I have always been a bit scared of carb overload on green days, so I've kept them limited. Right time for me to look busy too ;) |
Righty, thats me finished....uploaded the recipes. If you go to my blog there is the SW recipes link in the linklist....
Mel, the lasagne is indeed very easy to make, and very tasty. The weather up here isn't great either...it's just sooo depressing... Just having my lunch: Morissons Honey Mustard Chicken Filets, Cucumber, Silveronions and 4 Ryvitas..... Regarding the day swopping. I used to be on more green days, usually maybe had one red day a week. But I think it helps your weightloss if you switch days, so you metabolism doesn't get used to the food and slows down...which I think happend with me. For me it is a lot harder to stick to red days, as I love pots, pasta and rice and I'm not too big on the veggies....I love sweetcorn, but thats the one thing you are not allowed on red....what a pain that is lol.... The same goes for workout I think. It's not only the different kinds of workout, but I think also the different times (same as with food). Keep you metabolism guessing and that should speed it up. I know it's very hard to break old habits, but I've read somewhere that a girl turned her meals around and achieved a great loss (so Dinner for BF, BF for Dinner etc....) Well, time for me to look busy....but oh well, why bother...lol |
Just a quick question regarding exercise and eating, I know you're not supposed to eat within a certain time of exercise, but most of my classes are at 6:30pm meaing I can't really eat before and after I'm starving so I overeat. Have you found a small snack you eat before exercise to overcome this? I guess it depends what time your classes are.
|
Well I think it's alright to eat, but not a big meal...maybe a banana or two with yoghurt, cereal....something to give you a full feeling and something that gives you energy. You usually drink quiet a lot during or after excercise, that helps to fill you up too....my classes are at 5.30, and by the time I get back I still have to cook....so we are usually starving as well lol.....
Last night I had a nightmare...was dreaming that I didn't get the job .... I wish they would call!!!! |
Aw, I bet that job interview is weighing on your mind, I hate it when they take their time in telling you the result.
Did a BLT class last night, the instructor really worked us hard, the room was packed too, although my two friends who were supposed to be going with me both cancelled at the last minute *sigh* I don't mind going on my own but company is always nice. I ache today. Going out for a drink tonight with my friend, I think we'll either go to the pub (diet coke), or to Starbucks (green tea or water), if its Starbucks I'm determind to avoid the cakes, even if chocolate dedadence is very yummy. Bah now I'm craving sweet things, Marks and Spencer do the most tasty lemon cheesecake in the world :D Anyway.... I've also been looking at a career change, I've always wanted to do teaching, and I have a school willing to support me from September 2008 to do the in school teaching training. You get paid 14k a year which is more than I'm on now, and thats just for the first unqualified year. So, I need to get myself accepted at a university now to back up my qualification. September 2008 seems so far away though :( |
