Hangin in there
Hello to all of you and all the new members. I had the weigh in on Tuesday and after a weeks vacation and not exercising, well, I was not gonna be to pleased with the scale, I felt like I had gained because of the way I was eating, I think if it was not nailed down, I was grabbing it. I was shocked when I found out I only gained 1/4, wow, I looked at the weight recorder and told her I would take that with a smile on my face. We had been on vacation, went to a wedding and no exercise, wow, I guess they say once you get to a weight try to maintain it for a couple of months before you go onto the next set. They say you should lose only ten percent of your body weight at a time and then maintain that for two to three months, it seems like that would make it even longer for us to get this weight off. But the experts say this helps your body adjust and you will have an easier time holding at a certain weight. anway, thought I would let all know. I guess I have been reading lots trying to get my hands on any information I can about nutrition. I dont think you can learn too much. I have been reading so many bad things on all the fad diets that are out there, and it makes you feel good when you are doing it the old fashioned way, slow as a turtle in the wrong gear. so for all of us doing it this way, hang in there, hang strong. and no matter how many times we have to start over, never, ever give up....
Eleni, dont give up, we have all been at a place where we dont want to be, but you have so much going on in your life, give yourself a pat on the back. You are exercising and trying and it will help. I have faith in you and I know you can do it.
I have not been here in a few days so I am just trying to get back in gear.
I hope everyone is doing well and their week is going well after the holiday it is always hard to get back in the groove of things. The hardest thing is when you stop execising or stop the water, to me those are the hardest things to get back in gear again.
I agree with Christie, the more you write down the better you do. It sure is a pain, but it does work. I went and bought a small notebook and I am using that, keeping track of calories, fat and fiber content. Yes, it is a pain, I will admit that, but what I am after is gonna be worth it...
Best of week to all of you.
