Angry Sunday

Hi Everyone...

I thought that since I'm up I'd take the opportunity to start Sunday's thread.

I hope everyone is doing well, I'm sorry I haven't posted or even read the posts lately as I've been having morning (noon and night) sickness pretty badly and haven't felt up to much more than laying on the couch when I'm not at work. I am looking at the upside, although I throw up every time I eat (and whenever I don't) I'm keeping down at least half of what I do manage to get down. and I'm drinking tons of water. I turtled this week at TOPS which is better than a gain (my dr said it would even be ok for me to lose a little in the first trimester) but I had thought I was going to lose at least a pound. It jsut doesn't seem fair to be spending this much time up close and personal with so many different porcelaine altars and still not lose. Oh well... the ultimate goal right now is not weight loss but a healthy baby.

Speaking of which... I went to see my dr the other day about my asthma and she mentioned in a sort of off hand way that my HCG levels in the blood test were very high... and that coupled with the severity of my morning sickness might indicate twins. To top it off someone at work told me the only other woman he'd known to throw up so much was his sister-in-law and she had triplets. I told him "Thanks... now I have to go throw up again." I mean, I've always wanted a big family, I just thought we'd build it one at a time! Of course, if we end up with multiples I will love each and every one no matter how many there are... but I'm hoping not to have more than I can hold at one time.

Good morning
Waiting on the cable guy.
Lara you hang in there. The out come is well worth the sickness.

Not much more going on here. Been busy.
Scale is showing a loss so far.
Didn't do good Friday, ended up going into work and leaving Brandon at my parents. I made the mistake of calling in again.
And telling them I would work Sunday to make up for Friday, and they gave me the line about being so short handed. So I told them I would be in on Sunday, went in on Saturday, and Brandon was still sick. Mom and dad watched him. He seems to be doing better now.

I hope everyone is fine. Take care
We can do this the correct way. Making small changes daily to add up to the overall change.

Tops hugs and thinking of you all
Wendy

Default Good Morning to All

Good morning to all of you!! I managed to get my exercise done yesterday, wow, so much fun. I am hoping that as I keep doing more and more, as people say, I may enjoy doing it. Dont know when that will happen, but you never know what comes in time.

Lara - WOW! Sounds like everyone is giving you good news. I have a friend who has twins and she says it made her life much easier as far as the kids playing with each other. When you have one, like I do, you have to be the entertainer, so look at good points. Hope you feel better, I know what the morning sickness was like, the thrown was my favorite place for four months, and then I managed to just be queezy the rest of the time. I dont know if they told you or not, but the mints, by the mints like certs and stuff, altoids, worked really good for me, any thing with mint, this calms the stomach - also gingerale, I drank lots of that, tea, pop - that also worked good. Just trying to give you a couple things that helped me. Do what you can, the energy is the hardest to replace when you get sick, but stay positive, it is only for a small time. Get some rest and take it easy. Try finding some things that work, I still remember carrying gingerale and club crackers everywhere I went, I ate them every hour to help my stomach, and I had the freshest breath with the altoids, they are strong, but work good. Good luck to you this week.

Eleni - are you there? I am doing better today, I was in one of those moods where all I wanted to do was find the easy way out, I know only normal - right? Well, I walked and did some weights yesterday and I am a little sore today, but doing better with the attitude. It gets hard sometimes, if we dont have the parties or something with food involved, we have ourselves to handle stress, and all the other things that come into factor that makes us want to eat. With me, I like to eat when I am happy, sad, mad, frustrated, any emotion you can think of. Hoping for a better week, Tuesday is weigh in day, so I am thinking good thoughts for that day. At least I am working on it.

Did not know if anyone had any other suggestions for exercising, what they liked and did not like? Walking, I know it is good for you, but do you have to do 45 minutes, I will never get there. I walk for 20 minutes and then workout with abdoer, or gym with weights for about ten minutes, for a total 30 minutes, this is all I want to do right now - actually - ever. I dont like to spend that much time doing exercising. I can squeeze 30 minutes out in the morning, I have a hard time doing it in the morning, but I have been forcing myself. I also like to give myself one day off a week, Sunday, to relax and get myself back together. Does anyone else do that? Any suggestions, I hear taebo is good, but have not tried it, the buns of steel, are these good? I have some aerobic tapes, but they are almost an hour long, I mean - no way - too much. I like the less time, still get something accomplished goal. Well, if anyone has any inputs, would love to hear some ideas, dont want to get bored and stop with my effort, that is what worries me about being bored. Hope everyone has a great week.

Christie - hope all is well with you .

Shelly - hope you are back soon, miss your inputs.

cbabe - hope you are having a great week, how is all with you today?

wrbedell - hope you are doing good and having a great week.

poohquilt - hope you are doing good and having fun with the group and posting.

I am sure I have forgot some people, but dont mean too, hope all a great week, and a great day.

Angie

Lara,It does get better I did it 6 times and I survived to talk about it I always wanted twins.Never got them but I did get 6 kids in 10 years.I stayed pg it seemed like.People use to kid me about always having one in the belly, one the hip and one pulling at my skirt tail. It's much funnier to me now than it was then.
Today my hubby and I spent most of the day in St Pete at the pier.Even took a trolley ride thru downtown St Pete.Hit a couple of antique stores.Just spent the day loafing around.I am pooped.
I did laps before we left.Did not do treadmill as I knew we were going to be doing a lot of walking.I was afraid if I did treadmill my knees would hurt too bad.But it was a good day.
Angel,I also eat at every emotions. Most of us that are real heavy do.Hard habit to break
As for exercising. The lastest thing I read says you can break your exercises up into 10 minutes at a time.It is hard for me to do most exercises for 30 to 40 minutes. So I vary what and how long.I usually do 30 minutes of laps in pool because it doesn't hurt my joints. Then treadmill may be anything from 10 to 30 minutes.Rarely longer.I also have an abdoer that I love.I do it 5 minutes at a time but more than once a day.
I try to do something everyday as it is so easy for me to stop exercising if I am not careful. You can also take different workout tapes and make your own.I have 4 Richard Simmons tapes that I do parts of each one.
I hate exercise almost as much as I hate water so I have to do things I will do even if it is for a short time.
I will have to work pretty hard next few days if I want a loss on thursday.I haven't done real bad this weekend but haven't done real great either.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hey everyone!
Just a quick not before I head off to bed. It's been a rainy and dreary weekend but I did manage to workout yesterday. On Friday, the kids and I went on a fun hike. Not too bad at first but then I had to carry poor Nikki the last 2 miles! My aching back!! lol We had a good time though. Zack wants to ride his bike next time and so do I!! lol
My body must be going through some changes because I'm exercising but also eating like I can't get enough! I show a gain and a big one too! Oh well! I can't be on program 24/7!
Hang in there Lara! Just remember, soda crackers and flat 7up!
All the best to everyone this week! WI is Monday for me and we're having a Mary Kay domonstration. Should be great fun!
Til next time!
