Hi there. I couldn't sleep so I got up and thought I should post. I noticed a lot of us "old timers to this site" have been slack in posting.
I am feeling much better since I got out of hospital. I still tire easy but that won't go away. My heart is just not in the best shape but as long as I remember my limits I will be here for a long time.
Still don't have my christmas trees decorated but my brother and his wife are coming over tomorrow to help me.Grand kids were suppose to but weren't able to at last minute. I wasn't going to put anything up but I was talked into it. I am glad I did as I do enjoy the decorations.
Bill put up a railing outside down our steep driveway.It looks nice and helps me and others to come up driveway.Plus it gives him somewhere to hang more christmas lights.Something he hates but he does it for me.LOL.
All my shoping is done. I cheated and had all children do the buying for the grand children. They will drop off gifts and I will wrap them. Everyone else is getting gift certificates.
Tonight is our TOPS christmas party. I am looking forward to that. It is one of our food functions for the year. We have a chinese gift exchange which is always fun.
Oh I sold my first drawing this week. A man that works for my husband wanted a pen & ink of his sisters horses for a gift to her. He liked what I did and bought it. That was cool.
Ok just wanted to say hello and let my girls know I am ok.Just getting old.

One "Old Timer" checking in. Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well Eleni. Been thinking of you a lot....and the other 'oldies' that were around here. Thanksgiving time always does that for me......good folk are remembered and I'm thankful that they entered my life.

It is nice to see what new people are doing. They appear to be much more focused than I am. Things are tough and I've backslid severly........like 50 pounds above my goal weight....................I don't know how I'm gonna get that old drive back. Yes, I know getting on here helps, but it's just seems to be one more thing I have to do and I'm tired of 'have to's'. Those of you who know me know what I'm talking about.

Just wanted to say 'Hi'. Tell Bill once again that he is a great guy and I'm thrilled you got rewarded for your artwork. Keep in touch!

P.S. - Almost forgot to give you a weather update so you can shake your head and continue to thing I'm crazy-------which I am!!! lol!!!! DRUM RRRRRRRRRRRRRROLL....... -30 @ 1AM with a wind chill of -38!!!!! We are also so far ahead of the snow game with at least 2.5 feet on the flat area of the yard. The ski areas are loving it and all are running most of their lifts already!!!!! This is gonna be a normal year, I fear.....but it will help pull us out of our long drought.

Eleni.. Good to see you posting.. sounds like the family has the christmas thingy under control for you... we had our party on monday nite for Tops, was really a nice time. about 23 of us went... Just stay healthy for the christmas season and keep delegating those chores... India

Hi summer, I am one of the newer members of this board, I dont think I have seen you before.. I have been in Tops for about 5 yrs, and this past year is the first time I have made any real progress in weight loss, I have a total of about 100 lb to lose...I also took the job as co leader and have enjoyed it very much, I get to do lots of different jobs each week, keeps me busy.. its cold here too in NY.. but we have had our first real snow this past week.. take care... As for me, I am snowed in with the girls I actually like it And they cancelled our Christmas party so no weigh in either but I am just enjoying my time just relaxing and thinking about getting out the last of the decorations and stockings and finishing up the house for the holidays...hope everyone is doing well and I will check back soon...still need to tabulate the results from the last challenge and get ready to start a new one, catch you all soon

Hello all,
Eleni, I have been wondering about you. Glad to hear you are out of the hosp. and up and going again. Have had you on my mind a lot lately.
If you had been at my house this AM you wouldn't have had to turn on the A/C, just opening the door would have worked. It was 9 degrees. We did get up to 31 today but it is supposed to be back to 9 tonight. This is unusual for us!
Summer, I can't say too much about the cold to you, you just keep it at your house and I'll try to survive our weather. LOL It is good to hear from you...we all need to get back in the groove and start posting again.

Christie...how are you? It's good to see some names I know on here.

And it is always good to hear from the others, to see the success they are achieving. It is hard through the holidays. But we need to remember that it is easier to not have a gain than it is to take it off after Christmas.

I have a few decorations up but still have the tree to do. But, Saturday, we are going out of town for a few days, so may do that tonight. I can't seen to get in the 'spirit' this year...suppose I'm getting old?
