Default The day before the Holiday

Hello,
I feel like I've been gone forever instead of just a couple of days. Monday was a whirlwind at work because it was my last day of training with the girl who's position I am filling. I was off work, yesterday, today, and then again tomorrow and Friday. We are leaving for MO in just a few hours; I have so much to do before then! However, I know it's important for me to check in and remind myself that I have a plan and a goal to get to ONEderland...and I'm not going to blow that off now that the holiday season is here.

I did some shopping yesterday. I've got half the list done. I really enjoyed it to. It was just me and me alone. I like spending time with me! lol

I'll check back in with everyone on Sunday. Have a wonderful holiday and remember it's not about the food but time spent with family, friends and make some time for you too!

Susie

Default Happy Thanksgiving

I haven't been around in a while, just had to drop in and remind you (and myself) not to let stress get you down. Have a wonderful day. And remember if you over do on the desserts to do a little more and watch the rest of the weekend!
Hugs to you all.

Default Happy Thanksgiving

I gained 5 pounds this week! I've been so off track, and I don't know why. I kind of vascillate ... I'm fine for breakfast and lunch, but I blow it for dinner. Unrecognized holiday "celebration" mode, or something?

Anyway, I'm hosting Thanksgiving at my house this year, but since it's my first time ever cooking a turkey, I'm keeping it simple and low-key. It's going to be me, DS, my mom, and a brother who said he'd stop by (but he's famous for no-shows). Once we're done eating, I'm going to suggest/insist that everybody goes for a brief walk this afternoon.

Phantastica, a walk after the holiday meal is a great idea. I do the same thing. You can also suggest that everyone who does stop by take leftovers home with them...especially the TEMPTING foods

About the recent gain...just accept where you are at and move forward from here...you can do this! Look at it as a temporary detour and get back on the path *today*
